Holiday Hugs And Christmas Cheer -- Honey Bee Stamps

Hello, crafty friends!  Today I'm back to share another with several of the items in Honey Bee Stamps gorgeous Wrapped In Blooms card kit!  Bonus if you get the kit:  there will be an exclusive card class available only to those that have the kit!  (You'll get a QR code in your package to access it.)

Today I decided to create a shaker card using the beautiful sequin mix that's included in the kit.  I'll also share photos of a previous card I made with the kit at the end of this post!  Check out the details below!

 

I found my inspiration color palette inspiration from this beautiful blush cardstock in the pack of Hive Hues Christmas In July cardstock pack (included with the kit).  All of the items, except basic supplies, are included in this kit.  I love this soft blush color!

First I die cut white cardstock twice with the gatefold die in the Lovely Layouts: Wrapped In Blooms dies.  I used the coordinating Wrapped In Blooms stencil to add coordinating inks to the etched details of the cardstock.

Next I created the shaker card portion by using a shaker pocket (you can also use packaging from a stamp set).  I adhered the two sides and bottom around an A2 white cardstock panel.  Then I poured in some of the sequin mix and sealed the top to close.  Next I used Bee Creative double-sided tape and Bee Creative Glue (included in the kit) to adhere the shaker pouch to an A2 card base.

Next I die cut the poinsettia from the Lovely Layers: Festive Florals dies from the included blush cardstock, and white, gold, two greens and brown cardstocks.  I die cut two extra of the poinsettia base layer and used ink to color them a sage green.  I used a coordinating ink and blending brushes to add shading to the poinsettia petals.

Of course, there's a fabulous layering guide to help you adhere the layers together!  Before I adhered these to my card, I die cut white cardstock with the belly band die in the Lovely Layouts: Wrapped In Blooms die set.  Instead of using the full band, I used my paper trimmer to cut the top layer of the band to fit on my card front.  I glued it to the center of the card.

I used Bee Creative glue to adhere the elements to the card.  I also glued a few gold sequins from the sequin mix to the leaves.

I stamped the sentiment from the Filled With Wonder stamp set in black pigment ink.  After I cut it out with the coordinating die, I added foam strips to the back to pop it up.

I absolutely love the soft tones of this card!  Of course, a shaker card is always so fun!

Stocking Filled With Holiday Cheer -- Spellbinders

Hi, crafty friends!  Today I am sharing my card that features the adorable Spellbinders House-Mouse Designs Sweet Twist stamp set from the new House-Mouse Holiday Collection!  This Sweet Twist stamp set is one of the three in the Collector Bundle!

One thing I love about the House-Mouse stamps, other than they are SO adorable, is that the artist's images have shading that I use as a guide for my coloring!  After I stamped the Sweet Twist image with Copic safe ink, I colored it with my Copic markers and a few Prismacolor Pencils.  These are the colors I used:

• candy cane:  R59, R29, RV25, R35, C2, C0
• berries:  RV69, R39, R37
• branches: Prismacolor Pencils PC1082, PC941
• mouse:  E35, E33, E31, E93, E51, E50, R30
• stocking:  G09, G17, G16, G02
• stocking fur: Prismacolor Pencils PC1063, PC1060
• background:  B93

I used the second largest Playful Stitched Panels die to cut the colored image into a cute shaped rectangle.

Next I used a white gel pen to add white accents to the berries, stocking, and candy cane.  Then I used some clear glaze to give the berries some shiny dimension.

When the clear glaze was dry, I diluted some Splatter White Opaque Watercolor with water and used a paint brush to add splatters for the snow.

I let the splatters dry and then I glued the Sweet Twist image to a 5" x 3-¾" white cardstock panel.  I added foam adhesive to the back to adhere it to my A2 card base.

The sentiment I used is one of three in the Sweet Twist stamp set.  After I stamped it with black pigment ink, I used my paper trimmer to cut it into a strip.  I added thin foam adhesive to the back of the sentiment to adhere it to the card.

Layered Lush Botanicals: Poinsettia Holiday Card

Hello friends!  The Altenew July 2026 release is available now!  Today I'm sharing this holiday card that features three of the awesome new sets:

• Lush Botanicals: Poinsettia 3D Embossing Folder and Die Set
• Winterberry Poinsettias 3D Embossing Folder
• Holiday Essentials Die Set

I started with the Lush Botanicals: Poinsettia 3D Embossing Folder and Die Set.  This beautiful embossing folder has coordinating dies that you use to die cut the petals of the poinsettia.  I did that first by die cutting some Heart Beat and Forest Glades cardstock.  I die cut the flower center from some Brushed Gold cardstock.  I added a few inks (in the list below) with Mini Blending brushes to give the petals some depth and dimension.

Next I placed the die cut petals into the Poinsettia 3D embossing folder and ran it through my die cutting machine.  I used glue to adhere the layers together.  (This die set has Altenew's ingenious Key Hole system which makes aligning the layers so very easy!). Then I added white paint splatters for a snowy look!

I glued the poinsettia to a white cardstock panel that I embossed with the Winterberry Poinsettias 3D embossing folder.

The sentiment is from the new Holiday Essentials die set.  I die cut the top layer three times and glued the layers together.  I adhered that to the bottom shadow layer that I die cut from Heart Beat cardstock.  Then I added foam adhesive to the back to pop it up on the card.

I added a few gold sparkles from the Metallic Gold & Silver Gem Sparkles set.

Christmas Blessings Cathedral Holiday Card

Hello friends, and happy Christmas Eve to you all!  Today I'm sharing this very fitting card that features the gorgeous Lovely Layers: Cathedral and the Christmas Blessings stamps and coordinating dies.

As you read through the details here, be sure to think about how the Cathedral can be used a lot more other than the holiday season!  Think Easter, sympathy cards, and more!

I die cut all of the dies of the Lovely Layers: Cathedral from white, two shades of green, dark blue, and brown cardstocks.

This saved me a good bit of time as I was able to use an ink blending brush and coordinating inks to add some quick and easy shading to the colored cardstock.

Since this is my first time using the Lovely Layers: Cathedral set I found the Layering Guide the perfect assist as I glued the layers together.

I set the Cathedral aside to create the background layers for my A2 card base.  I chose a dark blue cardstock from my stash and die cut it with the beautiful Scattered Stars Cover Plate die.  I used blending brushes to add Black Soot Distress Ink around the edges.  I also lightly inked some Brilliant White pigment ink just outside of where the Cathedral will be.

I hand cut a piece of white glitter cardstock to create a snowy hill layer and glued it to the card.

I added foam tape to the back of the Cathedral and adhered it to the card.  Then I placed the trees and shrubs around the Cathedral.  I took a scrap of the glitter cardstock and placed it under the large star is on the Northern Star cover plate and ran it through my die cutting machine.  I glued it into the opening of the dark blue layer.

The sentiment is from the wonderful Christmas Blessings stamp set and stamped in black pigment ink.  I cut it out with the coordinating die and adhered it with foam strips.

I absolutely love how this turned out and hope you do too!

Nutcracker Die Cut Holiday Card With Non-traditional Colors

Hello crafty friends!  Now that we are into December, (can you believe it?!) I am making as many Christmas cards as I can and hope to still have time to mail them!  What about you?  Well, if you aren't finished either, I have some inspiration to share today!  My card features Honey Bee Stamps awesome Lovely Layers: Nutcracker dies.  Check it out!

I put a different twist on the Lovely Layers: Nutcracker by using pastel colors instead of the typical red.  I chose some minty green cardstocks, a very pale peach color cardstock, matte gold cardstock, and 80# Neenah to die cut each of the various layers.

I love how Honey Bee provides layering guides for the Lovely Layers sets!  The Nutcracker has some small die cut pieces, but the layering guides makes the assembly easy!  I used Bee Creative glue to adhere all of the layers together.

Note:  I did use a few Copic markers to color the skin and hair.

For the background, I embossed a 4-¼" x 5-½" piece of white cardstock with the beautiful Into The Woods 3D embossing folder and glued it to an A2 card base.

Then I cut white cardstock with my scissors to make a hilly, snowy ground layer and glued that at the bottom of my card.

For more detail, I die cut two shades of minty green and peach cardstocks with the Lovely Layers: Trees dies to create two trees.  For the tree trunk, I die cut gold matte cardstock.  I glued the large tree to the base.  Then I popped up the smaller tree and the Nutcracker with foam tape.

I still have sentiments saved from the one time I stamped the awesome Simply Stated: Holiday stamp.  I love that you get all these sentiments at once and then can die cut them all at once with the Simply Stated die!  I used a foam tape strip to adhere the sentiment to my card.

For a bit of bling, I added gold and pearl stickers from the Merry Moments Pearl Stickers.

Sleigh Bell Christmas Card

Hello crafty friends!  I'm thrilled to be sharing my first card using some awesome supplies from Honey Bee Stamps awesome Merry Moments release!  Today I'm using the beautiful Lovely Layers: Sleigh Bell Honey Cuts dies along with some gorgeous paper from the Merry Moments paper pad.

I love SO many of the patterned papers in the Merry Moments paper pad and just had to incorporate some into my card design.  I chose one and trimmed the piece to 4-¼" x 5-½" and used Bee Creative glue to adhere the paper to an A2 card base.

This particular patterned paper was the inspiration for my color palette I chose for the Lovely Layers: Sleigh Bell.  I went through my colored cardstock stash and found just the right shades to coordinate with the paper to use for the die cutting.

I used the Lovely Layers: Sleigh Bell dies to cut out each layer from the colors of cardstock I chose.  I cut multiples of the leaves and greenery to fill in around the Sleigh Bell.

I added some red glitter Stickles to each of the berries and set them aside to dry.

I die cut glitter cardstock with the bottom layer die of the Sleigh Bell.  The top is cut from brushed silver cardstock.  After I glued the layers of the Sleigh Bell together, I added a few pieces of foam tape to the back.

Before removing the foam tape backing from the bell, I set it onto the card and fiddled around arranging the branches behind it until I was satisfied with how it looked.  I picked up the Sleigh Bell, then placed Press N Seal over the arranged greenery.  Then I simply added glue to the back of those pieces and flipped it over to the card to adhere.

Next I glued on the glittered berries.  I diluted some opaque white watercolor with water and used my paint brush to add white splatters on the images.  Then I added thin lines of glue to the greenery and sprinkled on some beautiful chunky glitter.  I love the sparkle!!

I stamped two of the sentiments in the Warm Holiday Wishes stamp set in black pigment ink.  Then I cut them out with the coordinating Honey Cuts.  I used a few pieces of foam tape and strips to adhere them to my card.

Merry And Bright

 Hello friends!  Today I'm sharing this card featuring some products from My Pretty Things' 2025 Holiday Collection!  This features the beautiful Timeless Beauty stamps, stencils, and coordinating dies.  While this stamp set comes with some awesome birthday sentiments, I'm in the mood for holiday cards!  Read on for the details.

I like to stencil my stamp sets before I stamp it in black ink to help prevent smearing.  So first I stamped the Timeless Beauty floral stamp with a no-line coloring ink.

Tip:  To easily stamp the black ink later use a stamp positioning tool.  I placed the white cardstock panel into the bottom corner of my MISTI and then stamped it with no-line coloring ink.  LEAVE the stamp on the door of the MISTI.

Now you can pull out the stamped panel and begin to add your ink colors through the Timeless Beauty stencils with blending brushes.  Check out my list below for the ink colors I used.

I did not stencil ink for the berries. 

Next, place the colored floral panel back into the MISTI.  Make certain that the card is completely into the same corner as before.  I inked up the Timeless Beauty floral with black ink.

To color the berries, I made a custom color of pearl texture paste by mixing a bit with a drop of re-inker.  After I spread it onto the berries stencil, I set it aside to dry.

I created my card base layer by stamping the Art Deco Christmas Tree stamp onto deep pink cardstock with clear embossing ink.  I added clear sparkle embossing powder and then set it with my heat tool.

I trimmed the piece to 4" x 5-¼" then used the Art Deco Christmas Tree stencils and two pink inks to add a bit of subtle color to the stamped image.  Then I glued it to my card base.

Making sure the texture paste was dry, and it was, I cut out the Timeless Beauty floral with the coordinating Timeless Beauty die.  I added foam tape to the back to adhere the flowers to the card.

Next I stamped a sentiment from the Happy Holidays Sentiments with pink ink.  I cut the sentiment out with the coordinating die and adhered it to my card with foam tape.

The Quickest Holiday Cards You Will Ever Make!

I have two holiday cards to share today that are so quick and easy, you won't believe it!  These use two of Spellbinders monthly club kits.  One is the 3D Embossing Folder, Starry Snowfall, and the other is the Embossing Folder, Nordic Noel.

This first card is the 3D Embossing Folder for July.

Brushed silver cardstock, from the Silver Assortment Treasured Cardstock, was used in the Starry Snowfall embossing folder and glued to an A2 card base.

Next, add two beautiful embellishments from the Merry Moments Dimensional Snowflakes set.

Then die cut a sentiment from the Christmas Florals & Sentiments die set and you're done!!!

This next card using the July Embossing Folder is created the same exact way as the card above.

This time I used Poppy cardstock in the Nordic Noel embossing folder.

More pretty snowflakes were added.  There are six self-adhesive snowflakes in the set!   I used another die cut sentiment from the Christmas Florals & Sentiments set and popped it up with foam strips.

These would be fantastic to mass produce for the holidays.  What do you think?

Spellbinders October 2024 Club Kits -- Simple & Quick Holiday Cards

 Hello!  Today I'm sharing my cards that feature two of the Spellbinders' October 2024 Club Kits.  I've used the Stitching Die and the 3D Embossing Folder Club Kits.  This month's stitching die is so easy and very quick to finish that I created two cards!

This first card features most of the dies included in the Merry & Bright Cloche Stitching Die Kit.

I embossed white cardstock with the beautiful Joyful Candy Canes 3D embossing folder of the month.

I die cut teal and white cardstocks with the dies in the Merry & Bright Cloche stitching die set of the mont.  The quick and easy stitching was done with white Coton Perle thread.  I used six strands of DMC 801 to stitch the trunks.

There are two sentiments in the Merry & Bright Cloche to choose from to add with the included oval die too!  I added coordinating gem stickers to the tree for some pretty sparkle.

My second version uses the Merry & Bright Cloche tree dies and the other sentiment that's also included.

For the background layers, first I die cut an Essential Arches die from an A2 sized piece of white cardstock.  Then I put the two pieces into the Joyful Candy Canes 3D embossing folder and ran it through my Platinum machine.

The Merry & Bright Cloche tree is stitched with silver DMC Diamant Grande thread.

I've included the available cardstock colors I used in the list below.  This time I've added some silver gems to the tree.

If you've ever thought of trying the stitching dies, this month would be a good one to get started on!  The clubs have very flexible rules and you can always cancel at any time!

May Your Heart Be Light Christmas Card

Today I'm sharing a holiday card that features Spellbinders Faux Embroidered Stockings die set!  I really love the somewhat unexpected sentiment that goes along with this too!

This was a quick and easy card to make with just a few supplies.  I added a panel embossed with the Vintage Ornaments 3D embossing folder to an A2 card base.

Then I die cut white cardstock with oval dies from my stash.  I glued the center oval to the card and popped up the outer frame with foam tape strips.

Next I die cut and assembled the Faux Embroidered Stockings I die cut from Fern, Crimson, and white cardstocks.  I die cut three of the branches to make the greenery fuller.  The little stocking hangers are die cut from matte silver cardstock.

The sentiment is from the Nichol's Needlework Sentiments stamp set.  After I stamped it in black ink, I die cut it with an oval shape die.

A Snowy Christmas Market Cart Scene Card

Hello crafty friends! Today I'm sharing my snowy scene card featuring Honey Bee Stamps beautiful Christmas Market Cart Add On.  Except for the sentiment, this 5" x 7" card is totally die cut with no coloring!  Read on for the details!

The card base is an A7 card with a layer of the pretty patterned paper from the Winter Wonder paper pad. I die cut two hills with the dies in the Horizon Slimline Borders set. After I trimmed them to fit the width of the card, I used glue to adhere them to the bottom of the scene. I made sure to not add glue to the top edge of the hills so I could tuck in some of my other die cuts.

Next I die cut the Market Cart from white woodgrain cardstock. I used a piece of paper from the Holiday Wishes paper pad to cut the awning die. I die cut some red cardstock with the awning edge die and the wheel die.

Then I chose the elements from the Christmas Market Cart Add On I wanted for my scene. I used white, red, green, brown, and silver metallic cardstock for these pieces. (This Holiday and Winter Cardstock Collection has all the colors I needed.) I die cut two light strings from green cardstock and one from brown, along with additional greenery pieces. Since this was my first time to use this set, I referred to the layering guide that you will find in the product description.

The bulbs for the strings of lights are white cardstock. To easily get a solid covering of glue to adhere the iridescent chunky glitter, I squirted a dollop of glue onto my craft mat. Then I added just a bit of water to thin it out and painted the glue onto each light before adding the glitter. This is super easy!! Just don't forget to rinse out your paintbrush! Haha!

Before I assembled anything more, I added white splatters to all of the green pieces and the market cart too. This created a more cohesive look with the snowy patterned paper.  I used a white gel pen to add details to the red mug. The snowflake and stripes on the white mug were added with a red pen and a pencil.

Next I adhered all of the elements to the card. Most pieces are adhered with glue, with one tree, the wreath and holly leaf/berry piece popped up with foam dots.

To finish, I cut the strings of lights to fit onto the pine trees and glue them to two of the trees. Then I added one large red pearl from the Holiday Wishes Pearl Stickers to the center of the wheel. Next I added lots of drops of red crystal drops. I stamped a sentiment from the Heart Be Light set in black ink, then cut it out with the coordinating die. It's popped up on the card with foam strips.
