A Joyous Christmas Card

Hello, friends!  Today I'm sharing this joyous Christmas card that features the beautiful Shadow Joy die set by Spellbinders.  I added in some festive bits from an older set called Faux Embroidery Stockings.

The background is a white cardstock that I embossed with the beautiful In The Pines embossing folder.  Before I glued it to an A2 card base, I inked the edges with Candied Apple Distress Oxide ink.

Next I die cut the two main layers of the Shadow Joy from white cardstock.  I used an ink blending brush to color the pieces with Candied Apple Distress Oxide ink.  I die cut the small shadow pieces of the Shadow Joy from white glitter cardstock.  I used glue to adhere all of the layers together and then added foam tape to the back.

The pine pieces are from the Faux Embroidered die set and are cut from Fern cardstock.  I die cut the little berries from more white glitter cardstock.  I lightly pressed the Joy sentiment onto the card base and then positioned the pine pieces around it, adhering with glue.  I added the glittery little berries to the branches with glue.

To add more to the Joy sentiment, I pressed a sentiment from the Home For Christmas Sentiments BetterPress set and cut it out with the coordinating die.

May Your Heart Be Light Christmas Card

Today I'm sharing a holiday card that features Spellbinders Faux Embroidered Stockings die set!  I really love the somewhat unexpected sentiment that goes along with this too!

This was a quick and easy card to make with just a few supplies.  I added a panel embossed with the Vintage Ornaments 3D embossing folder to an A2 card base.

Then I die cut white cardstock with oval dies from my stash.  I glued the center oval to the card and popped up the outer frame with foam tape strips.

Next I die cut and assembled the Faux Embroidered Stockings I die cut from Fern, Crimson, and white cardstocks.  I die cut three of the branches to make the greenery fuller.  The little stocking hangers are die cut from matte silver cardstock.

The sentiment is from the Nichol's Needlework Sentiments stamp set.  After I stamped it in black ink, I die cut it with an oval shape die.
