Dinner Cruise Scrapbook Layout

I made this page for my daughter's scrapbook.  We were on her senior year choir trip to New York City.  I was thrilled to get to go along as chaperone.

One of the many fun things we did was a dinner cruise on our last night.  I used my cool We R Memory Keepers Fuse tool to make the shaker pockets behind the circles.  I used their Waterfall Photo Sleeves for extra photos on the page (that's what my goal always is---as many photos on the page as I can while keeping it uncluttered).

The title and ship were cut with my Cricut Explore.  The circle paper is from Jillibean Soup.

Here is a close up of the shakers.

I really love how this turned out.  I'm entering this into Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge--Shake It Up.

I really love how this page turned out!  Thanks for taking a look! :)

Valentine for my Husband

I just love this stamp and die by Taylored Expressions.  I thought I could make a more masculine card using the truck.  Not sure how masculine it is, but I'm sure he will like it a lot!

I stamped the truck and hearts onto watercolor paper.  I really enjoyed using my new Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens (a birthday present to myself last month!) to color the truck and hearts and grass.

I have a cloud mask I hand cut from some packaging and used it with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink for the sky.

I LOVE this tree stamp.  Last spring we stopped in Salado, TX and there's an awesome individually-owned stamp store called Stamp Salado.  It's two stamps.  One for the tree and another separate one for the leaves, both wood mounted.  They are by Deadbeat Designs Rubber Stamps.  This is such a versatile stamp that I hope to use a lot.

I'm entering my card on Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge and the 30-day Color Challenge by Kathy Racoosin at The Daily Marker.

I'm also entering this in the Joy Clair 1st Monthly Challenge (thank you for the suggestion Cornelia).

Thank you for taking a look and for any comment you might like to leave.

Bramble Heart #4

Last one for this beautiful die from Simon Says Stamp.

Just as I did with the glittered version of this in my previous posts, I could NOT toss the pretty foiled negative pieces.  I wish I could photograph this so the pretty foil would show better.

I added some Spun Sugar Distress Ink and pieced in the sentiment with a Mama Elephant die.  Spritzed on some white Heidi Swapp Color Shine in white for that extra bit.

Thanks for looking!

Bramble Heart #3

Had to try out my Minc Mini I received at Christmas.  I used Simon Says Stamp Bramble Heart die and some Heidi Swapp toner paper to cut the die.  Foiled it using her pink foil.

Then I decided that this would look pretty as a shaker card.  I like how it turned out!

Thank you for stopping by!

Bramble Heart #2

Yes, I do like this die from Simon Says Stamp.  In my previous post here, I had applied a Stick It sheet before die cutting.  Well, as I am somewhat of a scrap paper hoarder, I didn't want to toss the negative pieces into the trash.  t put them all back in place, peeled off the Stick It backing and applied the glitter!  Makes me happy not wasting!  Haha!

Thank you for taking a look and comments are much appreciated!

Valentine, Bramble Heart

My first valentine card for the holiday coming up.  I love this Bramble Heart die from Simon Says Stamp.  The Mama Elephant sentiment is perfect!

I used patterned paper from K & Company that I've had for at least a few years.  I really love patterned paper but struggle to find ways to use it.  I'm always very happy when I do find a way.  I used Spun Sugar Distress Ink for the layer behind the heart.  Oh, when I cut the heart I had applied Stick It to the paper which made it very easy to add the oh so pretty glitter by Art Glitter (Baby's Breath).

I'm actually going to add this to the Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes Wednesday Challenge with a theme of Have a Heart.

Thanks for clicking over and hugs for the comments!

Online Card Classes/Lasting Hearts

I have one more card that I did for Day 5.  The watercolored piece has been sitting on my desk as I didn't think I liked it enough to make it into a card.

I decided today that I do like it enough to turn it into a card!  LOL!  Does anyone else ever do this?

This technique of Jennifer McGuire's looked so simple when she was showing us.  However, I think I needed a left hander to do it to show me how.  Finally figured it out and am also using this card for the Lasting Hearts Card Drive that Jennifer posted on her blog.  It's the first of several I hope to send for this cause.

Take a look at her post--it's heartbreaking and heartwarming.  Turning sadness into a great cause!

So here's my card.  Thanks for taking a look at it!  I love your comments and thanks for those too!
