A Very Happy Easter To You! featuring Hoppy Poppy

Hello friends!  Yes, today I have an Easter card!  Picket Fence Studios' January release is filled with flowers, bunnies, and gardens perfect for your springtime card making!

Please note:  I have all available supplies, with links, in the list below.

First I created a fun stenciled scene for my card featuring Freckle Friends: Hoppy Poppy.  I used the stencils in the  Scene Building A2 Stencil Set: Layers of Adventure.

I began by blending on two shades of green inks with blending brushes and the Layers Of Adventure stencils.  Then I blended the blue clouds in the sky.

Next I masked off the sky portion of the background to add some shimmery splatters to the grass.  I diluted a few drops of Kiwi Lime Paper Splatter with water and used a fan brush to splatter the mixture onto the card.

Another stencil in this set has clouds and I added the Incandescent Paper Glaze through the stencil and set it aside to dry.

Next I stamped the images from the Hoppy Poppy stamp set with Black Hybrid Ink and colored them with my Copic markers.  I cut them out with the coordinating dies.

I trimmed the dry stenciled panel with a die from the Beyond Basics: A2 Rectangle & Cover Dies set.  I used glue to adhere it to my A2 card base.

The other images and sentiment are popped up with foam tape.  I added a few highlights to the girls dress and shoes with a white gel pen.

The shimmer and shine that the Kiwi Lime Paper Splatter and the Incandescent Paper Glaze gives is SO pretty!  These are wonderful products and I hope you will check them out by clicking the links in the list below.

Fast & Easy Encouragement Card!

Happy Monday friends!  This card features a few new products from Picket Fence Studio's latest release!  Want to know the secret for this super quick card?  Read on for the details!

First I used Paper Pouncers and Distress Oxide inks with the On A Cloudy Day stencil to create the background.  I used Festive Berries, Kitsch Flamingo, Squeezed Lemonade, Mowed Lawn, Evergreen Bough, and Dusty Concord.

Before removing the stencil, I spread some Twinkle Lights Clear Paper Glaze with a palette tool.  You could skip this step to avoid the drying time for an even quicker make!

While the stenciled piece was drying, I chose two of the Adventures in Hot Air Ballooning Glossy A2 card fronts.  These are beautiful preprinted sets of 12 sheets with 3 different designs.  I used my scissors to cut out the balloons.

When the Paper Glaze was dry, I trimmed the piece and added it to an A2 card base with a black layer.  I popped up all but two of the hot air balloons with foam tape.

The sentiment from the Freckle Friends: Climbing Calliope set.  After I stamped it with black ink I cut it out with the coordinating die.  I added some of the pretty gems from the Starry Skies gem mix for a bit of fun sparkle!

Cheers, It's Your Special Day

Happy Friday crafty friends!  Today I'm sharing this card I made that features Picket Fence Studios Cheers My Friend die set!  I love ink blending and this card has plenty of that!

The background ink blended panel was created with three Distress Oxide inks.  I used blending brushes for adding Kitsch Flamingo, Tumbled Glass, and Evergreen Bough.  I glued the layer to an A2 card base.

Next, from white cardstock, I die cut the A2 Simple Plaid Cover Plate, the "cheer" die from the Cheers My Friend die set (x4), and a few leaves from the Layering Flora: Sweet Cherry Blossom die set.

Then I used a Paper Pouncer to add Kitsch Flamingo Oxide ink to one layer of "cheer".  I glued all of the layers together and set them aside.

I stamped a sentiment from the Fancy Congratulations Sentiments and cut it out with the coordinating die.

For easy alignment of Cheers, I used the negative piece to position and glue each letter to the card.  The leaves and sentiment are adhered with glue.

Then I added a few sparkles from the Starry Skies gems.

Thinking Of You Floral Card & Stenciled Background

Hello friends!  Today my card features the beautiful Graceful Magnolias stamps and dies by Picket Fence Studios!  Be sure to check out my reel by clicking the Instagram post in the left column.

First I stenciled my background using the Frame of Mind 6x8 Stencil and Huckleberry Blue Paper Glaze.  I only covered one upper and lower corner leaving open space on my A2 card layer.  I set it aside to dry and wash the stencil and tools.

I stamped the Graceful Magnolias flowers and sentiment with Copic safe ink and color them with my markers.  Then I cut them out with the coordinating dies.  

When the stenciled layer was dry, I smooshed my Prize Ribbon Distress Ink pad onto my craft mat, diluted it with water and splattered it onto the piece.

Next I glued the stenciled piece to a layer of coordinating blue cardstock.  Then I used foam tape to adhere the flowers, leaves, and sentiment to the card.

I added some pretty pearls from the Navy Blue & Charcoal Gray pearl mix.

Friend, Thinking of You

Hi friends!  Today I'm sharing a bit about my card I made featuring Picket Fence Studios gorgeous stamp called A Peony of Contrast.  This is one of the new products in the release that just became available!!

After I stamped the Peony of Contrast with Versamark onto Distress watercolor cardstock, I added gold embossing powder and heat set it.

Then I used a few drops of Picked Raspberry Distress re-inker to watercolor this beautiful flower.  If you'd like to see this in action, I have a reel posted over on my Instagram.  Just click the image in the left sidebar of my blog.

Next I used my scissors to cut around the embossed lines of the flower.

I used the new Beyond Basics: A2 Rectangle and Cover Plate Dies set to create the background layers.  This set has five rectangle shaped dies and three different cover plate dies, including the heart one I used here.

I used my paper trimmer to cut down the peony to fit the card front and adhered it with some foam tape.

The "friend" sentiment is from the Cheers My Friend word die set and is die cut three times.  I used a Paper Pouncer to color the die cuts and then glued them together.  I stamped the other sentiment from the Graceful Magnolias stamp set with Picked Raspberry Distress ink and trimmed it into a strip.  There is a coordinating die set, that I totally spaced on using, with a die to cut out the sentiment (eye-roll to me, haha).

Let's Have Some Christmas Fun

A quick post here to share a few details of my card that features Picket Fence Studios adorable Reindeer at Play stamps and coordinating dies.

I stamped four of the super cute reindeer and the sleigh from the Reindeer at Play stamp set with Black Hybrid Ink.  Then I colored them with my Copic markers and cut them out with the coordinating dies.

Next I stamped a sentiment from the Reindeer at Play set with black ink and used the coordinating die to cut it out.  I added foam tape to the back of all of the die cuts and set them aside.

I chose one of the beautiful The Season of Christmas Fabulous Folding Toner card fronts.  I thought it would be fun to keep the background black and white for the images to really stand out.  These are to be used with heat from a laminator type machine.  I cut a piece of Pitch Black toner foil, placed it on top of the toner card front, and then ran it through my Minc mini machine.

After trimmer it to 4" x 5-¼" I glued it to an A2 card base.  Then I adhered the sentiment and images to the card.  Then I added a bunch of the Day & Night gems to the tree.  I used my Crystal Katana pickup tool to place the gems on tiny dots of glue for a bunch of pretty bling!

Elegant Red and Gold Embossed Holiday Card

Happy Saturday!  Today I'm sharing this card featuring Picket Fence Studios' Winter Blooms stamp and the Merry Christmas Word Die Set.

I started with a 4" x 5-¼" piece of red cardstock.  After using my anti-static powder on the cardstock, I stamped the small image from the Winter Blooms stamp set with Versamark embossing ink and added gold embossing powder.  After I heat set the powder, I inked around the edges with two shades of dark red ink.  Be sure to use a clean towel to wipe the excess ink off of the embossing!

I die cut the "Christmas" from the Merry Christmas die three times in red cardstock and once from brushed gold cardstock.  Merry is die cut from white cardstock and inked with a dark red ink using a Paper Pouncer.

I added gold gems from the North Pole gem mix for a bit of sparkle!

Joy To The World Shaker Card

Hi crafty friends!  I have a super quick post to share a bit more about my card in my Instagram reels featuring Picket Fence Studios gorgeous Winter Blooms.

I love the colors of the Jingle All The Way sequin mix and wanted to coordinate my card colors so I could use this in a shaker card!  After I stamped the large image from the Winters Blooms set in black ink, I used these Copic marker colors:

• Flowers: V09, V17, V15, V01; leaves: YG17, YG25, YG03, G19, G17, G09, G05, G03, G28; berries: B18, B05, B04.

I cut it out with the coordinating Winter Blooms die.  Next I added tape runner on the back around all of the images to adhere a piece of acetate and then thick foam tape all around.  Then I removed the backing paper of the foam tape.

I added probably over half of the beautiful Jingle All The Way sequin mix to the center of the acetate.  Then I added glue to the foam tape.  There's two reasons for this: 1) it gives you a bit of "wiggle room" to position the card base, and 2) the glue will hold the layers together over the long term.  I've found that just the adhesive of the foam tape alone, over time, looses its stickiness.

The sentiment is from the Deck the Halls stamp set.  I cut it out with the coordinating die and adhered it to the card with glue.

Joy To The World with Peaceful Christmas Flowers Stamps

Hi crafty friends!  Today I have this card as my featured reel on Instagram and thought I'd share a few details here!  I have featured the beautiful Peaceful Christmas Flowers stamps and coordinating dies on this holiday card.

I chose one of the three images from the Peaceful Christmas Flowers set and stamped it in black ink.  I stamped the berry sprig three times.  After I colored the stamped images with my Copic markers, I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.  I have the Copic marker colors listed at the end.

The images are popped up with foam tape onto a stenciled brick background.  This was made with the Brick and Mortar 6x8 Stencil and some Twinkle Lights Clear Paper Glaze.

I stamped the sentiment "Joy" that's in the Peaceful Christmas Flowers stamp set and cut it out with the coordinating die.  "To the world" is part of the Joy to the World stand-alone die set.  I adhered two layers of the die cut from black cardstock for more stability.

Of course, I thought this card needed lots of bling!  I added gems all around that are from the Starry Skies gem mix.

Autumn Is My Favorite Color

It's the first day of August and that means this summer heat is that much closer to being gone!  I'm sharing a few details of my card that I created a reel for over on Instagram.  This features Picket Fence Studios' new die called Autumn Is My Favorite Color.  I've used a few previously released products here too.

The background is made with the Simple Plaid stencil and Marigold Orange Paper Glaze.  I love the variety of colors Paper Glaze comes in!

I used Pint-Sized Paper Pouncers, along with the Paper Inking Palette, to color the Corn Stalk die cuts.

I used a piece of pretty Sweet Gingham A2 card fronts to die cut the Autumn is My Favorite Color die.  This gingham layer is adhered to a stack of three die cuts from white cardstock.

I layered the background and sentiment with coordinating orange and purple cardstock layers.  I die cut the sub-sentiment from the Autumn is My Favorite Color die from the same orange cardstock for a cohesive look.

Creating autumn cards definitely takes my mind off of these hot temperatures!  Thanks so very much for stopping by!

Sending Autumn Blessings

Hello crafty friends!  Today I'm sharing this card that I made with some new sets from the Picket Fence Studios Fall Into Autumn release that's now available!  My card features the beautiful Sweet Autumn Holiday stamps and coordinating dies.

I started first by creating my background with the Sprinkles 6x8 Layering Stencil Set (set of five stencils).  I used Blender Brushes to add Distress Oxide Inks through three of the stencils.  The colors used are Mustard Seed, Wilted Violet, Ripe Persimmon.

Next I added some of the new Paper Glaze colors.  First I spread Agapanthus Purple glaze through another Sprinkles stencil.  I let that dry and then added Marigold Orange and Daffodil Yellow glazes through the remaining stencil.  I cleaned the tools and set the panel aside to dry.

Next I stamped the images and sentiments from the new Sweet Autumn Holiday stamp set with black hybrid ink.  I colored these with my Copic markers.  I used these colors: V09, V17, V06, V12, YR18, YR07, YR04, E57, E58, 0, YG17, YG25, YG03, Y15, Y11, Y00.  Then I cut them out with the coordinating Sweet Autumn Holiday dies.  

After I trimmed the stenciled Sprinkles piece to 4" x 5-¼", I glued it to a coordinating purple layer, and then to an A2 card base.  I adhered the Sweet Autumn Holiday images and sentiments with foam tape.

I added some sparkle by choosing the purple sequins from the A Bird's Feathers sequin mix.

Floral Card With Texture Paste Background

 Hi friends!!  I can't believe it's been a week since I've posted here!  I've been so busy! Last week I went to the super fun Nashville Craft Retreat, and my return flight was canceled resulting in a lost day creating with a lot of new products!

Today I'm sharing a few details of this card that I shared a reel for over on my Instagram.  It features the gorgeous Blooming Trumpet Flowers stamps and dies that were illustrated by the super talented Kelly Taylor!

I cut a quarter panel of Bristol Smooth cardstock first.  Then I used a palette knife to dip out three different colors of Paper Glaze.  I put the scoops at the top of the long edge of the cardstock then used a large palette spreader to smooth the glaze out.  I used Cream Puff Velvet Paper Glaze, Sea Glass Coral Glass Paper Glaze, and Clementine Preserves Velvet Paper Glaze.

I actually set it outside in the hot sunshine to dry!  LOL.

I colored the images from the Blooming Trumpet Flowers stamp set with my Copic markers and cut them out with the coordinating dies.  I used B41, R14, R22, R21, R05, YG67, YG25, YG17, YG25, and YG03.

After I die cut white cardstock with the A2 Saying Hello Cover Plate die I added narrow strips of foam tape to the back to adhere it to the dried texture paste background.  

Then I arranged the flowers and leaves on the card and adhered them with a bit of foam tape and/or glue.

The sentiment is one of a few included with the Blooming Trumpet Flowers set!

I certainly do love using texture paste any way I can!  Picket Fence Studios has a variety of types and colors to choose from that are all so beautiful!!

You Make It Shine!

 Hi crafty friends!  Today I'm sharing my card featuring Picket Fence Studios beautiful Sweet Summer Bellflowers stamps and Sweet Summer Bellflowers dies.  I absolutely love this sentiment that is part of the stamp set!

This is the shortest blog post I think I've ever done.  But for good reason!  I am into the 2nd day of being at the Nashville Craft retreat!  So fun!
