Little Red Truck Snow Globe Card - Spellbinders

Hello, crafty friends!  Today I'm sharing this card that features Spellbinders Holiday Truck Scene by Simon Hurley die set.  This coordinates with the previously released Simon's Snow Globe die set.

I used various colored cardstocks (in the list below) to die cut the pieces for the truck from the Holiday Truck Scene dies.  I used glue to assemble the layers.

Did you know Spellbinders now has a place to find all of the layering guides?  On their home page, click Education for the drop down list, then click Knowledge And Assembly Guides.  These can easily be printed, if desired.

Next I die cut the dies for the snow globe in the Simon's Snow Globe die set.  I cut white woodgrain cardstock for the base, white cardstock for the globe, and white glitter cardstock for the snowy hills.

I used an ink blending brush to color the base with Gathered Twigs Distress ink.  I brushed Stormy Sky and Chipped Sapphire Distress inks onto the globe.  Then I added white opaque watercolor splatters to the globe.  I used a white gel pen to hand draw the star.

For the A2 card base layer I embossed green cardstock with the Holiday Check 3D embossing folder.  This folder is Spellbinders 3D Embossing Folder Club Kit for October.  After embossing the cardstock, I took a white pigment ink pad and lightly brushed it across the panel.  I really like how this highlights the fun embossing!

Out of all of Spellbinders Club Kits, the 3D Embossing Club is probably my favorite!  I do love embossing folders!

I added foam tape to the Holiday Truck Scene snow globe to adhere it to the card.

Simon's Snow Globe makes such a fun card for the holidays.  Check out this set to see the other sentiments and details included!  Having a red pickup in the globe is just so fun!  The Holiday Truck Scene set also has dies to add gifts to fill the back of the pickup!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope your day is fabulous and filled with crafty time!
