Have An Amazing Birthday

Hello crafty friends!  Today I'm sharing this sweet birthday card that features more of my favorite older sets from Honey Bee Stamps!  I used the Friendship Frame Stencil Set to create this window for the bear from the Heart Hugs die set.

First I created my card base and layer.  I embossed a 5" x 7" piece of white cardstock with the Eyelet Lace 3D embossing folder.  (I am so sorry, but I just discovered that this folder is retired.)

I have two folders that would be my next choices.  One is the versatile Rustic Brick Wall 3D embossing folder.  Another awesome choice would be the pretty Spring Medley 3D embossing folder.  Both of these are two of my favorites!

Next I used ink blending brushes to ink through the stencils of the Friendship Frame stencil set.  I used various shades of coral, pink, green, and yellow inks.

There is a coordinating Friendship Frame stamp set that includes a stamp for the stenciled image.  I chose not to use that stamp to have more of a no-line coloring look.  I used the coordinating Friendship Frame dies to cut out the stenciled piece.

Next I die cut the small bear in the Heart Hugs die set from a Kraft colored cardstock.  I used a blending brush and Gathered Twigs Distress Ink to add shading.  The balloons, also in the Heart Hugs set, are die cut from white cardstock and ink blended with some of the same inks used on the stenciled Heart Frame.

I glued the bear to the back of the stenciled frame, then added foam tape to the back of the frame to adhere it to the card.  I used glue or foam tape for the balloons, depending upon where there was room for the foam.

I wanted this to be a birthday card, so I used a sentiment from the Inside: Birthday Sentiments stamp set.  After I stamped it in black pigment ink, I die cut it with the coordinating die.  Foam tape strips adhere it to the card.

Be sure to try out this card with your favorite embossing folder!  It will be so adorable!

I see you back here next week with a card featuring Honey Bee stamps AWESOME Foundry & Field new release!!  As always, I really appreciate you stopping by and checking out my card!  Have a wonderful day!

By Chance We Met, By Choice We Are Friends

Hello crafty friends!  Today I'm sharing a card I made to give to a wonderful friend for Valentine's Day!  I've used the fun stencil set, Hearts In Bloom, along with the Great Greetings: Love die set as well as some other fabulous sets!

First I created the background with the Hearts In Bloom stencil set.  There are four fabulous layers to this stencil set.  I used some Distress Oxide Inks with blending brushes to color through stencils one through three.  I used these colors:  Festive Berries, Picked Raspberries, Spun Sugar.

I know it's hard to tell from the photos, but I used texture paste tinted with a drop of Mowed Lawn Distress Ink re-inker and spread that through the fourth stencil with the leaves.  In real life, it's a subtle texture both visually and tactilely.  I love it!

When the paste was dry, I glued the panel to an A2 card base.

For the other card elements, here is a list of the sets I used, with a few details:

Now for the sentiments!  True story--in 2016 my husband and I met a couple while we were on a trip in Italy.  The connection was real and a life-long friendship was born!  We all travel together and do girls trips every year!

That's why I chose these two sentiment sets!   First I blended some Festive Berries Oxide onto white cardstock.  Then I die cut the XOXO from the Great Greetings: Love die set.  I also die cut it from white cardstock four times to layer up the sentiment.

The second sentiment is from the Love You, Friend stamp set.  After I stamped it with Festive Berries Oxide ink, I cut it out with the coordinating die.

Whether you celebrate Valentine's Day or not, this is an awesome card to give to your special friend any time!

Thank you for stopping by today!  I hope you have a good, and crafty, day!

Sending Springtime Smiles

Today I'm back to share another of Spellbinders' February Club Kits!  The main feature of this card is the Small Die of The Month, called Spring Haul!  Can you believe the amount of dies included in this "small" die set?  The dies may be individually smaller but there are actually 32 dies included in this set!  That makes this set a keeper to use a few, or more, of these dies on different projects.

This card actually features all three of the February Club Kits that I will be featuring each month this year.  In addition to the Spring Haul Small Die set, this features a card layer embossed with the Shady Leaves 3D Embossing Folder of The Month.  Also, the sentiment is from the Ears To Spring Clear Stamp & Die for the month!

I die cut the dies for the Spring Haul greenery multiple times to have plenty to fill the wheel barrow.  The cardstocks I used are in the list below.

You can fill your wheel barrow with as few, or as many, die cut pieces of greenery as you want!  I die cut three of the eggs.  There are three dies to inset to the three oval dies to have a different design.  You get to choose!

The sentiment is from the Ears To Spring Clear Stamp & Die for February.  You really should check out this set to see the totally adorable image included!  Or, check out my previous blog post that features this!

Today is the day that the Club Kits subscriptions open for new subscribers!  These Club Kits have been very popular so far this year, with some Kits selling out!  Check them out here!

Thank you for stopping by today!  I hope you have a wonderful, and crafty, weekend!

"You Are Loved" Post Box Shaped Card

Hello, and happy February, crafty friends!  Today I'm sharing this card I made with Honey Bee Stamps awesome Post Box Card Base Honey Cuts!  My goal was to create a card with a more masculine feel to it.  Do you think I succeeded?

To create my Post Box Card Base card I placed the fold of an A2 card base just below the top edge of the Post Box die and ran it through my die cutting machine.

Next I unfolded the Post Box card base.  Then I placed the Spring Leaves A2 Pierced Cover Plate die over the front of the card and die cut it.  This give you a fun and subtle pattern for more interest on the card!

I die cut two of the dies for the Post Box from gray cardstock and used foam tape to adhere them to the card front.

The sentiment is from the Sealed With Love stamp set and fits perfectly on this die cut piece that's part of the Post Box set.  More foam tape adheres this to the card.

The little stamped envelopes are from the Love Is In The Air stamp set.  I die cut them with the coordinating die and glued them to the card.

I die cut two vines from the Lovely Layers: Greenery dies from green cardstock.  I used a few green Copic markers to add shading.

I trimmed one of the vines to fit near the top of the card and used glue and foam squares to adhere it.  I only needed to trim the overhanging bit of the vine on the bottom after I glued it to the card.

For a pop of color, I used a die from the Bold Backgrounds: Vines Of Love set and cut the hearts from red cardstock.  I glued them scattered along each vine.

Finally, I added a few pearl stickers from the Happy Hearts Pearl Stickers set.  I noticed that these pearls along with a lot of other pearl and gem stickers are now in the retiring category!  You can grab some at a reduced price!

The Post Box Card Base set is an oldie but goodie that is good for so many occasions!  I really like how this turned out and I hope you do too!  Thank you for stopping by today!  I hope it's a good day for you!

Ears To A Wonderful Spring! Spellbinders February Club Kits

Hello friends!  Now that it's February it is time for new Spellbinders' Club Kits!  Today I'm sharing my sweet card that features two of the new kits!  I am using the 3D Embossing Folder of The Month--Shady Leaves, and the Clear Stamp & Die of The Month--Ears to Spring.

The Clear Stamp & Die of The Month, Ears To Spring, is the most adorable image!  I managed to use all of the images on my card.

You can color these images with Copic markers like I did, or you could use watercolors, pencils, heat embossing too!  There are dies included with the Ears To Spring set to cut out each image, as well as each sentiment.

I die cut the layer for the image with an Essential Arches die.  This allowed me to show more of the beautiful 3D Embossing Folder of The Month,  Shady Leaves!  You get so much texture from this 3D embossing folder.  I love that this type of embossing folder is general enough to use for many occasions!

I stamped and die cut one of the nine sentiments included with the Ears To Spring set.  Not all of the sentiments are Easter themed.  Seven of the nine sentiments are more general and will work for your springtime cards.

You can check out all of the Club Kits by clicking this link.  The terms are very flexible and you can cancel at any time.

I sure appreciate you stopping by today!  Have a good one!
