Valentine Wishes | Art Impressions

Happy Monday friends!  I have another card for Art Impressions using the Holiday Mansion set and the HM Valentine set.  Love is in the air and all around this sweet house!

As usual, I stamped the images from both set in Copic safe ink and colored with the markers listed below.  For the house, I used a brick stencil, a tiny ink blending brush and Worn Lipstick Distress Ink.  I just used pieces of Post-it Tape to mask off the areas I didn't want stenciled.  Next, I fussy cut the house out.  I used the coordinating dies to cut out the other images.

For the background of the card, first I used a cloud stencil, an ink blending brush and Spun Sugar Distress Ink.  Then, keeping the cloud stencil in place, I placed a heart stencil over it and inked some Worn Lipstick Distress ink over that.  I repeated those steps for each cloud layer.  I used a grass stencil and Mowed Lawn Distress ink at the bottom.  I glued this layer to a top-folding A2 card base.

I adhered the bear, flower pot, sign, and weather vane to the house.  Then I added foam tape strips to the back of the house and applied a scrap piece of white card stock so that the clouds won't show through the house openings.  Next, adhere the piece to the background.  I arranged the other pieces and attached them with either liquid glue or foam squares.

I stamped the sentiment onto red card stock with Versamark ink, added white embossing powder and heat set it.  I used a Flag Double Stitched die to cut it out.  To make the flag die fit the sentiment better, I did some partial die cutting as shown in this next photo.  I popped it up onto the card with foam squares.

For the finishing touches (because I just think Valentine cards can be all about the sparkle and shine) I added sparkle with a clear glitter pen and some shine with Diamond Glaze.  Before adding the Glaze, I used a white gel pen to add accents on the hearts.

Thank you so much for stopping by!  Have a wonderful, crafty week!

Christmas Holiday Mansion | Art Impressions

Hello friends!  I'm over on Art Impressions' blog today with the Holiday Mansion all dressed up for Christmas! For my card today, I've dressed up the Holiday Mansion with glitter and shine for Christmas.  The HM Accessory Set is just what you need to make this holiday card!

I stamped all the images in Copic safe ink and colored them with the colors listed below.  I die cut them all using the included coordinating dies.  There's no die for the house, but it's so easy to fussy cut.   For the hill shape, I used a hill border die and added some pretty and sparkly coarse glitter with liquid adhesive.  I cut a piece paper that has just a bit of a pattern to show through the windows and doors.  This is from the same Lawn Fawn Snow Day Remix 6x6 paper pad as the background layer of the card.

I decided where to place the cute little images and adhered them to the house.  Then I added some foam tape to the back of the house and stuck the patterned paper piece to it.  Next I glued the hill on, then the house and the extra Christmas tree.

I stamped the sentiment in black ink and die cut it with a die from the Tag Stitched Die set.  I popped it up with foam tape and added the wreath.  For the finishing touches I added Nuvo Crystal Drops and clear glaze to various elements to up the shimmer and shine factor!

Have you started your holiday cards?  I hope this sweet card has give you some inspiration today!  Thank you for stopping by and have a fun, crafty week!

Spooky Holiday Mansion | Art Impressions

Happy Monday friends!  I'm over on the blog at Art Impressions today.  I've made the Holiday Mansion all spooky (but not too spooky!) by using the HM Accessory Set.

This little green monster inside the door cracks me up!

All the images are stamped in Copic safe ink and colored with the Copics listed below.  I die cut all the little elements out with the included dies and fussy cut the house.

I wanted a moon so I die cut a circle from some masking paper before I inked up the background with Distress Oxide inks on Strathmore Bristol Smooth Cardstock.  I used some awesome new blending brushes that made it so easy!  I added some water splatters and white gauche splatters to finish the night sky.  I left room at the bottom to ink in some green Oxides for the ground.  I removed the mask and ink in yellow Oxide and then used a couple light gray Copics to add spots on the moon.

I backed the windows and door with vellum that I stamped the webs and eyes with StazOn black ink.  I used a white gel pen on the back of the eyes to color them in.  The sentiment is heat embossed in white onto black cardstock.  I used a die from the Flag Double Stitched dies to cut it out.  It, and the house, is popped up with foam tape.

I hope you've enjoyed my fun, not too spooky, Holiday Mansion!  Have a fabulous and crafty week!

Holiday Mansion in The Garden, Art Impressions

Happy Monday!  I'm on the Art Impressions blog with this sweet card using the Holiday Mansion set and the accessories from the HM Garden Set.  Did you see Bonnie Krebs (the owner/designer) on HSN last Tuesday?  This was one of the featured sets and last I checked it's still available there and a sweet deal!!  It was so fun seeing her there!  And, it was super cool seeing my card on display there!!

I have all of my Copic marker I used listed below, as well as a complete supply list.

I love the interactive doors on this sweet mansion!

I always appreciate those of you that stop by to take a look!  Thank you!  Carol :)

Some Bunny Special, Art Impressions

Hello to you all!  It's Monday and I'm on the Art Impressions blog.  Can you believe March is nearing its end and Easter is just about a month away?  How time flies!  My card today features two sets:  Holiday Mansion and HM Easter.

I stamped and then colored everything with my Copics (colors listed below).  For the background I used a cloud stencil and some Distress Oxide inks in pretty pastel rainbow colors.  This angled photo shows the clear sparkle I added to the eggs.

I glued the three bunnies in position on the house before I added the foam tape to the back for dimension.  I adhered the basket of eggs directly onto the card base to add a more dimensional look.  I used Nuvo Crystal Drops to emulate "smoke" coming from the chimney.  Maybe the bunnies got some of their egg colors in the fireplace?  Haha!

I hope you're inspired to make some cute Easter cards for "some bunny special"!  :)

Birthday Holiday Mansion, Art Impression

Hello!  It is Week 2 of Art Impressions House or Cottage Challenge.  Have you entered?  I have a card today that features the previously released Holiday Mansion stamp and die set and the new accessory for it called HM Birthday Set.  There is also a new accessory set called HM Garden Set that is so adorable!

I stamped and die cut the images from the HM Birthday set.  I also stamped, then fussy cut, the Holiday Mansion.  There are dies for the doors and windows included in the set that I also used.  The window shutters also have dies to cut them out.

Many times I will stamp all the images of a set twice and usually only make one card because of time.  These were easy to put together, so today I have two cards to share today.  Everything was colored with Copic markers.  All of the supplies are listed below.

For the background, I used a cloud stencil and Distress Oxide ink to create the clouds.

This was my first time using the Holiday Mansion set.  After I stamped the mansion, at first, I wondered where to place the dies.  However, it didn't take long to figure out that all I needed to do was to center the dies in their respective openings.   I wanted to use this tag from the Flag Double Stitched Dies set, but it was too long.  I remembered that all I needed to do was to cut it once, then reposition the die where I wanted it and just cut the top portion.  Perfect size!!  The little fence, WC Fence Dies, is from the watercolor line, but is definitely great for other cards!  It has several shapes and sizes of fences.

Another extra touch I did was to add embossed lines to the mansion to imitate clapboard siding.  I just used my Scor-Pal and embossed equally spaced lines along the length of the mansion.   I think it adds a quaint touch!

For this background, I used some blue card stock, the cloud stencil and white pigment ink to create the clouds.

For both cards I popped up the mansion with foam tape to give some dimension and help to show the cake and presents better.

Thank you so much for stopping by!  I hope you will enter into the challenge.  It can be ANY house/cottage stamp die or any other idea you have using that theme.  Check out all the details at Art Impressions HERE.  I'll be looking for your entry!  Happy crafting!
