So Lucky To Know You | Honey Bee Stamps Love Letters Instagram Hop

Happy 2021 my friends!  This is my first blog post for the new year, and what a fun way to get started!  Honey Bee Stamps is celebrating their latest release, Love Letters, and today we are having an Instagram hop, with prizes!  Be sure to click over to my Instagram to get started on the hop and have a chance at winning!

My card features the just released Fortune Cookie Slider Honey Cuts and the Fortunate To Have You stamp set and Honey Cuts.  The recipient pulls out the "fortune" to reveal the full sentiment!

Here are the steps for creating this card:

  • Die cut a piece of patterned paper from the Love Letters 6x6 paper pad with the largest A2 Double Stitched Frames die.
  • Adhere the die cut paper to a top folding A2 card base.
  • Die cut 80# Neenah with a Scallop Hearts Honey Cuts.  Then dry emboss it with the Whimsical Hearts Cover Plate die.
  • Add thin foam strips to the heart and adhere it to the card base.
  • Die cut some cream color card stock using one of the fortune cookies from the Fortune Cookie Slider Honey Cuts.   I used a few Copic markers to add shading to the cookie.
  • Adhere the two fortune cookie pieces together.  Be careful to not add glue around the area where the fortune sentiment will slide.
  • I stamped three sentiments in the Fortunate To Have You stamp set in red ink.  As you can see, two are stamped within the black ink stamped banner and die cut with the coordinating Honey Cut.  The So Lucky is die cut with the die that has the tab at the end to prevent it from coming all the was out of the cookie.
  • I stamped "to know you" in Versamark onto black card stock, sprinkled on white embossing powder, and heat set.
  • I popped up all of the elements with foam squares and adhered them to the heart.
  • I adhered a few red hearts from the True Love Clay Hearts set.

Thank you so much for stopping by!  Be sure to go over to my Instagram, leave a comment, and hop along for more chances to win one of two $25 gift certificates!
