My Favorite Things - MFT & Friends October Release

Hello crafty friends!  I am SO excited to be joining MFT & Friends for their October release!  This release is jammed packed full of awesome products and you can find them all HERE on their website.

Be sure to click over to the MFT Blog for lots of amazing inspiration from the other designers!

I had so much fun creating with the new products that I've made four cards!  My first card features the fabulous Virtually the Best stamps and Die-namics and Let's Connect Die-namics.

I stamped the kids' faces onto Neenah Desert Storm card stock with MFT Kraft ink for a background panel.  I stamped and Copic colored the other images and used the coordinating dies to cut them out.  I die cut the Let's Connect computer from some silver card stock.  The speech bubbles are also in the Let's Connect set.  I layered the sentiment onto a strip of patterned paper.  This set is fabulous for teachers, but also great for a card to send to a friend!

Next up is a card using the totally adorable Partners In Adventure stamps and Die-namics.  I've also used the new Paint Splatter Background stamp.

I stamped the Paint Splatter Background stamp with blue ink and cut it down to 3-¾" x 5".  To set my scene I die cut an opening with the Square Peek-a-Boo Window die.   I cut a piece of Sno Cone card stock to 4" x 5-¼".  I centered the Paint Splatter piece over this and used a pencil to mark the opening.  I went ahead and added foam tape to the back of the Splatter layer and set it aside.

Next I Copic colored the Partners in Adventure images and cut them out with the coordinating dies.  For the background of the scene I hand cut a hill and colored it with green Copics.  I used the same greens to color the grass that was die cut with the Grassy Hills die.  I trimmed the hill and grass pieces to fit just beyond my pencil marks and adhered them, and the mountains and trees,  directly to the Sno Cone layer using my pencil marks as a guide.  I removed the foam tape backing and added this to the Sno Cone layer.

I added a foam square to the top of the bear and glue at the bottom to adhere them to the scene.  I glued the sun and cloud to the outside of the opening.  I added this to an A2 card base.  (All of my cards are A2 sized.)

Next up are two holiday cards!  This first one was a quick one!  I used the Merry & Bright With All the Trimmings Die-namics with a piece patterned paper from the new Christmas Cheer 6x6 paper pad.

I began with a card base from Green Room Prestige card stock.  I cut the patterned paper to 4" x 5-¼" and wrapped a 2-¼" x 4-½" piece of vellum around it.  I adhered two strips of Green Room card stock to the top and bottom edges.

Next I die cut Merry & Bright from some green glitter foam and adhered the letters to the vellum with Distress Collage Medium Matte.  I put a stamp block on the letters to weight it down while it dried.  Next I die cut and Copic colored the Trimmings.  I adhered the layers together and added them to the letters.  For a bit of shine I added a drop of Glossy Accents to the "nose".

My last card is using the oh so adorable Holiday Penguins and Die-namics.

I used patterned paper from Christmas Cheer paper pad for the background layers.  After I adhered the papers, I stamped the sentiment in Versafine Onyx Black ink, added clear embossing powder and heat set it.  I popped up the Copic colored images with foam squares and added them to the card.  I used a white gel pen to added highlights to the ornaments.  To finish it off, I added some sparkle and shine with a clear sparkle pen and Glossy Accents.

I want to say a HUGE thank you to My Favorite Things for inviting me to join in showcasing this awesome new release!  Thank you all for stopping by and be sure to go to the MFT Blog to see more inspiration!
