Friends Make The World Beautiful

Happy Saturday friends!  Today I have this beautiful rainbow colored card that features Picket Fence Studios Two Big Beautiful Butterfly Die Set.  This was so fun to color the card die cuts using the awesome Paper Pouncers!

I hope you'll join me over on Instagram to watch my fun reel for this card!

I used the A2 Rectangles for Card Layering set to die cut my card layers.  Then I used Paper Pouncers to add rainbow ink colors.  I have to say that the more I use these, the more I see how easy they make coloring my die cuts!  (I have the colors I used in the links below.)

I die cut one of the two butterflies from the Two Big Beautiful Butterfly Die set from white cardstock.  Then I used the so cute Pint-sized Paper Pouncers to color the top layer in the same inks as the background.  The small size of these helped me get the narrow strips of colors onto the butterfly.

For the butterfly I first spread a layer of Paper Glaze Luxe Twinkle Lights Clear onto a piece of cardstock that would fit the base layer of the butterfly.  After it dried, I die cut the base layer of the butterfly, and I wish photos would show the pretty subtle sparkle of the Paper Glaze!

The sentiment from the Fancy Friendship Sentiments set is stamped in black ink and cut out with the coordinating die.

I appreciate you stopping by today, and I hope your weekend is awesome!

Sara Girl Foiled Butterfly Card

Hello crafty friends!  If you have a good stash of toner foils like I do, then you will love these new Flutter Fly Foiling Toner Card Fronts by Picket Fence Studios!  Also new is the beautiful Sara Girl stamp!

First I chose one of the six designs (2 each) included in the Flutter Fly Fabulous Foiling Toner Card Fronts pack.  I used my Minc Mini to foil lilac toner foil onto the card front.

Next I used a Life Changing Blender Brush to add Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink around the edges of the foiled card front.  Then I adhered it to a top-folding A2 card base.

Then I stamped the Sara Girl stamp with black ink onto white cardstock, masking her top.  I tapped some Seedless Preserves Distress Oxide ink onto her top.  After I wiped off the excess just above the top, I stamped it with my MISTI.

I used several Copic markers to color the image.  Next I cut it out with the coordinating die.  Also included with the die is a die for the word "love".  I added doubled sided tape to a piece of white cardstock and die cut "love" from it.  Then I removed the backing and pressed some lilac foil onto the sentiment creating a coordinated die cut for my card.

I added foam tape to the back of the image to adhere her to the card.

I die cut the sentiment three more times from black cardstock and adhered them together with glue.  Then I glued on the foiled sentiment slightly offset and then glued it to the card.

Be sure to visit my Instagram to see the coordinating reel I made for this card!  Thanks so very much for stopping by!

Spellbinders January Stitching Die of The Month -- A Beautiful Butterfly

Hello crafty friends!  I'm happy to say that I will be sharing the Spellbinders Stitching Die of The Month with you this year!

Are you familiar with Spellbinders' clubs?  They have no less than 10 different clubs to choose from!  And, there is also a club called the Deluxe Caboodle which includes each of the monthly items at a 60% savings.

There are several other benefits of belonging to a Spellbinders Club.  You can check it all out on their club information page.

Be sure to note that there is a window of time for new subscribers to join.  This month's dates are January 6 to January 27.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The January 2024 Stitching Die of The Month is this adorable bee!  This die set also includes flower dies to use in your card design!

You may notice that the flowers I used on my card are not the ones included in the set.  Well, I'll share my duh moment with you, but don't tell!  I somehow misplaced the entire set after I die cut the bee pieces.  It wasn't until after I had finished the entire card with other flowers (from the Bee Bold Blooms set) that I found it buried under some other random things!

I'm happy to say that inspired me to get my mess cleaned up!  LOL!  I decided to make my bee in some lovely pink colors, instead of the expected black and yellow.  I did some simple straight stitches and added a few French knots in the center of the stitches that look like flowers.  I used 6 strands for my stitching with DMC 3326 and DMC B5200.  I used two strands of DMC D5200 for the wings.

I die cut two panels from the Nested Notched Corner Frames dies for my card layers.  The sentiment is hot foiled (from a set I just discovered has been retired).  There are many sentiments that would work with this card!

Stitching dies really are fun and if you have not tried them, I would encourage you to try!  It's very basic stitching that is very easy to learn.  Of course, these dies are just a beautiful used without stitching!

Thank you for stopping by today!  I hope you have a wonderful week filled with lots of crafty fun!
