Heart To Heart New Release By Simon Says Stamp

Today is release day for the Heart To Heart release!  As usual, Simon Says Stamp has something for everyone in this release!  Valentines, friends, and more!

I'm sharing three cards I made with products from this awesome release!  Please forgive me for the brief descriptions, but I am recovering from an upper respiratory infection I've had for a week and a half, and just don't have the energy today!  If you do have any questions, please use the contact me form in the left margin of my blog.

This first card features the new Love City stencil set and the Words Of Love stamp set.  (Links for all available supplies are in the list below.)

There are three stencils in the Love City set.  I used two stencils with two shades of gray inks.  I spread Pearl White Stencil Butter through the third stencil and set it aside to dry.

I stamped the Words Of Love stamp onto vellum with embossing ink.  I added white embossing powder and heat set it.  Then I cut it out with my scissors.

I stamped the Love You stamp from the Words Of Love set with Sangria ink.  I also trimmed the sentiment with my scissors.

Next up is my card using the new Love City die set.  These dies also coordinate with the Love City stencils.  I chose to make a clean and simple card with them.

I used two colors of pink cardstock to die cut the Love City dies from.  Quick shading was added with blending brushes and Strawberry and Dusty Pink inks.

The sentiments are from the Label Slides Love and Friendship stamp set.  (There are Label Slides dies available, but I do not have this set.).

The hearts and sentiments are adhered to the card with foam tape.

Sweet and simple, but sure to be loved by a best friend!

Finally, I have my card featuring the Love Is In The Air stamp set.  There are coordinating dies available.

There are three images in the Love Is In The Air stamp set, and I guess I was determined to use all three on one card!  LOL!  But I am happy with how this turned out.

Everything was stamped with Copic safe ink.  I stamped masks for all of the images and cut them out with my scissors.  A bit tedious?  Yes, but worth it.

I used the masks to ink blend blue and green inks for the sky a grass.  When that was finished, I colored the image with my Copic markers.

There are seven sentiments in the Love Is In The Air stamp set and I chose two to use for my card.  Other than the foam tape for the sentiments, this is basically a two-layer card!

I hope you've enjoyed my three cards featuring products from the Heart To Heart release!  Be sure to head over to Simon Says Stamp's website to check out all of the other fabulous new products!

Die Cut And Layered Rose Birthday Card

Hello crafty friends!  Welcome to my first post of 2026!  Last week I had so much fun revisiting a favorite Lovely Layers set that I featured here on the blog.  I decided to find another favorite, and today's card features Honey Bee Stamps beautiful Lovely Layers: Roses using an inset technique.  Read on for the details.

I began by taking an A2 sized piece of white cardstock and placing the main stem die of the Lovely Layers: Roses onto the cardstock, and then die cutting it.  Next I placed the base layer of the Rose to fit at the top of the die cut opening.  Again, I ran it through my die cutting machine.

I repeated those steps with the base of the rosebud.  Then I placed the die cut panel into the Wood Planks 3D embossing folder and put it through my die cutting machine.  Here's what it looked up to this point.

Next I glued this panel to an A2 card base and set it aside to work on the Lovely Layers: Roses.

I die cut all of the layers from white cardstock.  I haven't used my Distress Oxide inks in a really long time!  I love the soft, creamy look of the inks after blending them onto the layers.  I used Spun Sugar, Kitsch Flamingo, Mowed Lawn, and Rustic Wilderness ink to color each layer.

Next I glued each of the base layers of the rose, stem, and bud into the openings of the card base.  Then I continued glueing each of the layers onto the flower according to the Layering Guide (found in the product description on the website).

The sentiments are from the Celebrating You stamp set.  After I stamped them with black pigment ink, I cut them out with the coordinating dies.  I used foam strips to adhere them to the card.

I used my fingers to curl up the leaves and some of the rose's petals.  You can kind of see the fun dimension in this next photo.

For touch of sweet bling, I used Bee Creative glue to adhere Strawberry Ice Acrylic Hearts to the card.

There you have it!  A sweet and beautiful birthday card for that special person in your life!
