Altenew July 2026 Release Blog Hop (There's $300 In Total Prizes!) featuring the Jack Pine Tree

Hello crafty friends! I'm thrilled to be a part of the Altenew July 2026 Release Blog Hop. I'm sure you know how awesome the new releases by Altenew are and this one is up there on my favorites list!

Now, on to the details of my card featuring the beautiful Creative Cuts: Jack Pine Tree Layering Die Set.

First I began by die cutting colored cardstocks (colors linked in the list below) with the Creative Cuts: Jack Pine Tree Layering Die Set. I die cut the tree trunk from white cardstock and used a Small Blending Brush to color it with Milk Chocolate Fresh Dye Ink.

This fabulous Jack Pine die set also has Altenew's unique Key Hole System. This makes lining up the layers SO easy!!! I used glue to adhere each layer together.

Next I embossed white cardstock with the Cloudy Day 3D embossing folder. Then I used a blending brush to add Arctic Fresh Dye Ink over the embossing, mainly around the edges. Then I trimmed the piece to 3" x 4-¼" and added 1" Instant Dimension foam tape to the back.

Before I assembled the card layers, I used a scoring tool and my Scoring Board to add embossed lines on the front of an A2 card base. I opened the card to the inside and placed the front side onto the Score Board. I used the scoring tool to add scored lines at ½" and 5/8" along each edge of the card front.

Next I stamped a sentiment from the Mini Delight: Special Delivery Stamp & Die Set at the bottom of the card front. I used Obsidian Black ink, my most favorite pigment ink!

Then I adhered the Cloudy Day embossed panel to the card. And next I glued on the Jack Pine tree.

This Jack Pine tree die is so beautiful! I can't wait to make different trees in fall colors and one with winter snow on it!

Altenew September 2024 Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($300 in Total Prizes!)

Welcome, crafty friends, to the blog hop celebrating all of the awesome new products in Altenew's September 2024 Release! This release is filled with beautiful florals that Altenew is so well known for, gorgeous cardstock colors, inks, and holiday products too! For the hop today, I have created two holiday cards featuring the Berry Branch Layering Die Set and the gorgeous Cardinal Love Layering Die Set. These products, and all the others are available now in the Altenew shop!

This card features the beautiful Berry Branch Layering Die Set and the Timeless Sentiments Die Set: Holiday Edition.

I die cut the Berry Branch Layering Die Set from some of the new Crafty Necessities Cardstock colors. I used Crimson and Olive colored cardstocks. The brown cardstock is from my stash.

I layered a piece of Arctic Mountain cardstock with layer die cut with the Grid Cover Die. Then I added opaque white paint splatters to the card layers and the Berry Branch die cut.

The sentiment is from the Timeless Sentiments Die Set: Holiday Edition. I cut the shadow layer from more Arctic Mountain cardstock and the top layer from Topaz glitter cardstock.

I love cardinals, my most favorite bird!

This card features the so beautiful Cardinal Love Layering Die Set, and again, the Berry Branch Layering Dye Set. The Berry Branch works wonderfully with the branch that is included with the Cardinal Love dies.

All of the Cardinal dies were cut from white cardstock. I used the following Crisp dye inks (linked below) to color these beautiful birds: Clay Canyon, Burnt Red, Heart Beat, Rocky Shore, Mocha, Expresso, Jet Black

I added a white panel that I embossed with the Cloudy Day 3D embossing folder onto a panel that I color coordinated with Heart Beat ink.

The sentiment is from the Shrub Rose stamp set and popped up with foam tape. For more dimension and interest, I added Ruby Slippers Nuvo drops (yes, I still have those--LOL!).

Now onto my cards!

I am really loving Altenew's layering stencils and so enjoyed using this gorgeous Sisters of the Heart Simple Coloring stencil set! I also noticed that each stencil is numbered and coordinates with the included layering guide to help you add each layer! (Click the photo to see it up close.)

This card was very easy to put together! I used inks from the Green Fields and Red Sunset ink cube sets to color the layers. Then I die cut them with the coordinating Sisters of the Heart die set. After I added some black spatters and card stock strips to my card base I adhered the flowers to the card with glue and foam tape. Next I stamped the sentiment from the Birthday Builder stamp set and popped it up on the card.

My next card uses the awesome Let's Go Layering stamp set along with the coordinating dies.

I stamped the layers of the scene with inks from the Green Meadows and Cool Summer Night ink cubes. Then I used the coordinating Let's Go die set to cut it out. I used some blue card stock from my stash to create coordinating layers for the card elements.

Next I used the gorgeous Cloudy Day 3D Embossing Folder to emboss white card stock. I used a couple of Copic markers to add some color and shading to the sky around the clouds. The dimension of this is amazing!!

Then I chose this awesome sentiment from the Let's Go set (who, besides me, is ready to GO and travel?!)

I made a second card with the Let's Go set, but this time I used the Let's Go Simple Coloring Stencil.

I love this scene--reminds me of visiting Venice--it's on my bucket list! First I stamped the teal building on the left to have placement for the stencil. I used a blending brush and inked on Arctic Mountain for the night time sky and Ice Water for the light blue shade of the water. These are the Crisp Dye Ink mini cube colors I used: Pink Pearl, Coral Bliss, Icy Water, Arctic Mountain, Lagoon, and Jet Black.

I heat embossed the sentiment with black embossing powder. Then I added my card elements to a background I created with the Angled Mosaic 3D embossing folder. After I embossed the dark blue card stock, I inked some Arctic Mountain and Jet Black ink around the edges.

My final card features the gorgeous Whimsical Bouquet 3D embossing folder!

I decided to go for a letterpress look for my card. I just squeezed several drops of Salvaged Patina Distress Ink re-inker onto my craft mat. Then I rolled a brayer through the ink until it was smooth and added it to the debossed side of the embossing folder. I repeated the steps until I had a good coverage and then ran it through my die cutting machine with white card stock. I love how this turned out, and I even love the look of the imperfections of the ink!

I decided to let the Whimsical Bouquet embossing folder be the star of the card and added a sentiment from the Versatile Vases stamp set. Then I finished it off with some pale blue acrylic hearts for a bit of bling.
