My card today features the awesome Just Because Background stamp!

After I stamped the Just Because Background stamp with Versamark and heat set it with white embossing powder, I used several different Pawsitively Saturated ink colors and blending brushes to create my background.  (Ink colors are in the list below.)

I stamped a portion of the Just Because stamp with black ink and used my scissors to cut out the sentiment to use on the card front.  I inked up spots of the same inks onto white cardstock and die cut several flowers with dies from the Be Bold Blooms die set.

Here is that special offer I mentioned!!  Please read the graphic for all of the details!

Simon Says Stamptember® 2022 Blog Party!!!

Happy STAMPtember® crafty friends!!  I'm thrilled to be a part of Simon Says Stamp's blog party to celebrate their new STAMPtember® release!  If you're new to STAMPtember®, be sure to check out Simon's Blog to get all the details!  Today is all about Simon Says Stamp's exclusive release!  There are lots of awesome products, so be sure to check it all out in their shop

Today I'm sharing three cards I made using the new Sassy Thankful set that is part of Simon's release!  The sentiments in this set are so fun, and there are several more sentiments that will surely bring you a smile!

Before I get started on my card details, let me share a very special offer Simon Says Stamp gave me to share with you!  Get this fabulous exclusive stamp set free with your $100 purchase by using the code: CW6D7B8N.

Now, on to my three cards featuring the oh, so fun Sassy Thankful stamp set!!

I created a background for this hilarious sentiment with the Leaves Wreath stencil set.  I used just about every autumn shade of Distress Oxide ink I own to color in these beautiful  leaves!  I used some gold metallic watercolor to add some pretty sparkles to the piece.

Next I trimmed my stenciled piece to 3-¾" x 5".  Then I heat embossed the sentiment from the Sassy Thankful set with gold embossing powder onto vellum and trimmed it into a strip.  I wrapped it around the stenciled panel, added a brushed metallic gold layer, and adhered it to the card base.

Next up is my card that was super quick and easy to make!  And...how great is this sentiment?!!!!

I put all the focus on the little turkey image and sentiment from the Sassy Thankful set by heat embossing both in gold.  I colored up the turkey with a few Copic markers.

I trimmed the sentiment piece down and added more brushed gold cardstock behind it and the patterned paper layer.  I did add foam tape to pop up the sentiment layer.

For my final card I had lots of watercoloring fun!

I started by gold heat embossing the Leafy Leaves background stamp onto watercolor paper.  Then I used several watercolors to add all the gorgeous autumn colors to the piece.

Of course, since I love shimmers and sparkle, I added gold watercolor splatters to my piece.  While that dried, I heat embossed the sentiment in gold onto vellum and wrapped it around the dry watercolored panel.

Thank you for stopping by today!  Be sure to head back to the Simon Says Stamp blog to join the party and find lots of STAMPtember® inspiration!  Also, there are lots of different "free gift" codes for different things hidden in the crafters posts!

I'm very honored to have the opportunity to show you their collaboration stamp set with Honey Bee Stamps!  It's called On My Mind and it's so beautiful!!!  This set has many sentiments to use with this beautiful floral wreath that makes it perfect for many occasions!  This is available to purchase as just the stamp set, or the stamp set with the coordinating die.  Read on to see how I created my card!

First I created my A2 card base.  I adhered a piece of Concord & 9th's Dove Gray card stock to a white card base.  Then I stamped Honey Bee's Buffalo Plaid stamp onto some white card stock with Concord & 9th's Dove Gray ink.  I trimmed this to 4" x 5-¼" and adhered it to the card base.

Then I stamped the wreath and sentiment with Versamark ink onto a piece of Strathmore Bristol Smooth card stock. I heat embossed them with silver embossing powder.   Next I used my Zig Clean Color Brush Markers to color it.  I have the colors I used listed below.  I didn't have the die, but it was very easy to fussy cut out.  I added foam tape to the back.

I adhered the wreath onto the card base.  For a bit of bling, I added some Honeysuckle Nuvo Jewel Drops here and there.

I love how this turned out, and I hope you do too! Remember, this set is only available at Simon Says Stamp and while supplies last!  Thank you so very much for stopping by!!

Honey Bee Stamps & Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember® Fall Beauty

Hello friends!  I absolutely loved creating this card using the beautiful Fall Beauty stamp set available at Simon Says Stamp.  This set a collaboration between Honey Bee Stamps and Simon Says Stamp for their STAMPtember® celebration. (You can read all about STAMPtember®  HERE.)  It's extra special this year as it's their 10th anniversary of STAMPtember®.

This card measures 6-¼" square--I just couldn't cut this beautiful image after I was done!  LOL!

I stamped the image onto Bristol Smooth cardstock as I originally intended to just use my Zig Clean Color markers to color it.  I had an image in my head of the colors I wanted, and just wasn't getting that with the Zigs.  So I started playing around with various color combinations.  (Tip:  Always stamp two of your image so you have one to experiment on.)  I didn't really need a lot of watercolors for this and used several different types.  I have them all listed at the end.  For each color combination, I just used two to three colors.

I stamped the sentiment with Versamark ink (after using my anti-static powder) onto heavy-weight vellum and heat embossed it with Honey Bee's BEE Sweet Embossing Powder.  I fussy cut it out.  I wanted just a bit of dimension to help it stand out a bit.  So I used mini glue dots and hid them behind the embossing.  I used my finger to roll them up like little logs before sticking them onto the back of the sentiment behind the embossing.   That way they don't show at all!

I'm just so thrilled to get to color this beautiful stamp!  I can also see using it in colors for spring too.  Thank you so much for stopping by!  The Honey Bee Stamps Design Team has some amazing creations that you don't want to miss over on the Honey Bee Stamps blog--be sure to check them out!  Happy crafting--Carol :)

SSS STAMPtember and Art Impressions

It's STAMPtember!!!!  I'm so thrilled to create this fun card using the new set called Pumpkin Spice!  This set is a collaboration between Simon Says Stamp and Art Impressions.

If you are wondering what STAMPtember is, this is from Simon's blog:

STAMPtember defined:

STAMPtember® (stmp-tmbr) is defined by Simon Says Stamp… an event intended to inspire, educate, and celebrate our community of stampers.
Simon Says Stamp was founded in 2002 with an obsession for rubber stamps. However, it didn’t take long until we became a One Stop Shop. Now Simon Says Stamp and STAMPtember® is so much more than stamps! This year you’ll also see a focus on many other exciting products like dies, notecards, and some very special surprises. Our intention is to be your one stop shop in this awesome community! Rubber stamps still remain at the heart of our business, and we are celebrating by releasing exclusive products with many of the industry’s finest brands. Be sure to visit our Blog as the home base for the festivities!
I stamped these fun gals onto some Neenah Solar White 80 lb. paper and then colored them with Prismacolor Pencils.  I really enjoyed my coloring time and took it slow to build up my pencil layers and to get smooth blending between the layers.  Some fun details were added to the jacket and scarf with pencils and a Micron .005 black pen.

I added the grass with a stencil, after masking the ladies, with Mowed Lawn and Peeled Paint Distress Oxide inks.  The sky was lightly stenciled with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide.

Grab this fun fall set quick before they are gone over at Simon Says Stamp!  Thank you so much for stopping by!

SSS STAMPtember and Honey Bee Stamps

Woohoo!  I'm very excited today to show you a card using the latest collaboration set with Simon Says Stamp and Honey Bee Stamps for STAMPtember!  The set is called Tie One On and is filled with balloons, curly ties, and sentiments with an awesome font!

I LOVE the falling (or fallen, spending on which way you stamp it) glitter stamp!  I've used some oh, so sparkly gold embossing powder to stamp the glitter inside the balloons and at the bottom of my card!  I tried my best to capture the sparkle in the photo, but it's even prettier in real life!

I first stamped the balloons onto masking paper to create masks.  I then stamped the first balloon, masked it, then stamped the next, and so on.  Before adding the confetti to the balloons, I colored them with Copic and Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.   To get the glitter only within the balloons, I used the outside portion of the masking paper that was around the balloon (I never remember if that is the positive or the negative of the cut!  Haha!)  Just place the mask around the balloon, then stamp the confetti in Versamark, add your embossing powder, and heat emboss.

Don't you totally love the font of the words in the set?!  Since my gold sparkle embossing powder is semi-transparent, I stamped the sentiment and heat embossed it twice.  The first layer was with Ranger gold embossing powder, then the gold sparkle embossing powder for the 2nd layer.  The balloon panel is cut to 3-¾ x 5 and mounted onto the diagonal striped paper.   Here is an angled, close-up photo to show more of the sparkle!

Be sure to go to Honey Bee Stamps blog to see some more beautiful inspiration from the design team--AND leave a comment on their blog for a chance at a wonderful prize!  Thank you SO much for stopping by to take a look!  I really do appreciate you!

Carol :)
