Today I'm sharing my card featuring Spellbinders Geometric Flower Background glimmer plate that also has coordinating stencils! The sweet die cut image is the Sealed Birds die set that I kept all white to stand out on the busy background. Check out the details below.
First I preheated my Glimmer Foil System and foiled the Geometric Flower Background and the sentiments from the Just Wanted to Say Glimmer set. I used pink Glimmer foil on 80# Neenah white cardstock.
Next I trimmed the sentiments into strips and the foiled background to 3-¾" x 5". Then I used the Layered Geometric Flower Stencils to color the foiled piece. There are four separate stencils that can be used individually, or use all, as I did. I used Distress Inks in the colors of Picked Raspberry and Spun Sugar. The dark pink ink is Doll Pink by Simon Says Stamp.
I die cut the Sealed Birds dies once from white cardstock and another from vellum. I added dots of glue just to the stem portion of the white die cut to adhere it to my card. I cut the vellum die cut apart and tucked the pieces here and there under the other leafy vine.
I decided to die cut two more birds and color them with a few gray Copic markers. I drew in the eyes and beaks with a black Micron pen and popped the birds up with small pieces of foam tape.
And that's all there is to making a beautiful card for a special friend! Thank you so much for stopping by!
