You Make Me Happy

I had a lot of fun making this fun card for my Honey Bee Stamps Sunday post on Instagram!  I just think that sending a pickup full of sunshine to someone to tell them how happy they make me would bring a smile to their face!

I did a good bit of masking and ink blending to create the background for this card.  I used my alcohol markers to color this awesome pickup truck from Honey Bee Stamps!  (All supplies are listed below.)

I created a mask from the truck die and used Honey Bee's Sunburst Layering stencil set to ink the sunshine rays.  I hand cut a mask from printer paper to use for the ground and blue sky background.  A couple spritzes of water were added to the grass for texture.

After I stenciled the sunshine, I used a stamp from the Build-A-Bee set to put on a happy face!

I also had an idea (new to me anyway) to use the transparency that you can print out from the MISTI website to help position the sentiment.  I just stamped the sentiment onto the transparency using Versafine Onyx Black ink and then moved the transparency around until I decided where to stamp it.  So often, I am VERY indecisive about where to stamp the sentiments!

And check out the "chrome" trim around the windows!  Yes, the die set comes with these little pieces you can cut out and color--I used a silver pen to get the chrome look.  I also added Glossy Accents to the windows.

Well, if you read all the way to this point, I sure do thank you!  As always, I so appreciate your taking a look!
