Happy 6th Birthday Honey Bee Stamps!

Hello crafty friends!  Today I have a floral birthday card to celebrate Honey Bee Stamps' 6th birthday!  Happy birthday Honey Bee!  I took inspiration from the tiger lilies in my backyard and transformed the Lovely Layers: Easter Lily Honey Cuts!

Before I get to my card, I want to let you know that Honey Bee is celebrating their birthday with a sale of 20% off all of Honey Bee branded products!  It's a great time to check off that wish list!  You can click the image to go directly to Honey Bee's shop!

PSSST! Over on Instagram I have a fun giveaway of a $15 gift card to the Honey Bee shop!  Come over and leave a comment for your chance to win!  Click HERE to check it out!  :)

Now, on to my card!  For the card base I die cut 80# Neenah with the Hexagon Cover Plate: Stipple Layer, then I ran it through my machine again with the tan embossing mat and embossing plate.  This adds so much dimension to the awesome die!  (These dies were the very first cover plate dies I ever bought, and these are still at the top of my favorites!)  I used Bee Creative glue to adhere it to a yellow mat layer and then to the card base.

Next I die cut the Lovely Layers: Easter Lily pieces.  I die cut the flower parts twice, and the bud parts once.  I die cut several of the leaves and palm fronds to have extra in case I needed them.  Then I colored all of the die cut pieces with my Copic markers.  For the flowers I used YR07, YR04, YR02, Y15, Y13, and E18.  I used G07, YG09, and YG05 for the greenery.

Just so you can see what the flower looks like before assembly, here is a photo for you.  It's amazing how these pieces are transformed to a beautiful flower after I shaped and assembled it!

I used the tools from the Flower Shaping Kit to add dimension to all of the petals and leaves.  Then I used Bee Creative glue to assemble the flowers.  Next I added drops of Glossy Accents to the stamen tips and set them aside to dry.

I just had to add a few of these sweet little bees from the Busy Bees stamp set!  After I colored them, I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.  Then I adhered the flowers and leaves to the card with Bee Creative glue.  I did add foam squares to the center flower to pop it up a bit.

I chose a sentiment from the Thanks A Bunch set.  I love how several of these sentiments have coordinating dies!  I added foam squares to the back and adhered them to my card.

I hope I've given you some inspiration to think about those die sets in a different way!  Don't forget to shop the 20% off all of Honey Bee's branded products sale!  Thank you so much for stopping by!
