Happy Birthday, Hydrangea Card

The next card I made using Essentials by Ellen Mondo Hydrangea is a birthday card for a sweet friend.

Distress Inks are so easy to watercolor with.  Here's a closeup showing the pretty and sparkly Wink of Stella.

Thank you so much for looking!

  1. This is beautiful! Could you give me some tips on how you did it? I'm working on watercoloring hydrangeas for my sister's wedding shower!

    1. Hi Elizabeth--thank you very much! I was going to email you, but your settings are "no-reply". I'm not sure the exact tips you need but here are some. I’m attempting to recall the products I used to make this card. I gave it to someone so don’t have the actual card. I used watercolor paper. Used Distress Inks for all the watercoloring. Stamped the floral part in Picked Raspberry. I used that along with Spun Sugar to watercolor. Maybe some Worn Lipstick in there too. Not totally sure on the leaves, but I think I used Peeled Paint with some Mowed Lawn & Twisted Citron. I hope this helps and let me know if there is something more specific you'd like to know.
