Papertrey Ink / Ink To Paper "Hello Friend" Card and More!

It's the weekend--woohoo!  I'm still playing with Papertrey Ink / Ink To Paper's March release and had lots of fun making this sweet card!  I used their Feathered Friends Mini 9 stamp and coordinating die as the main feature for my card.  Have you seen their bird stamps?  They are so beautiful and I definitely have several on my wish list!

All of these stamps have layers to stamp and fill in the parts after you stamp the outline!  I love that!  I created a card base by die cutting the largest and next-to-largest Love to Layer: Torn Edges dies first from some red card stock.  (I have the products I used in a list below with links to shop.)  I adhered the white die cut to the red, and used tape runner to adhere the layers to an A2 card base.

Next I stamped the greeting in the upper right corner.  This sentiment is in the Prominent Petals stamp set that I used for the flowers.

Before I worked on the card front, I added a sentiment from the Inside Greetings: Appreciation mini stamp set and also some flower layers from the Prominent Petals set.

I stamped the outlines for the flowers, berries, and leaves from the Prominent Petals set in black ink.  Then I stamped the flower and leaf layers from several brands of ink in my stash.  Then I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.  I did the same for the Feathered Friends Mini 9 stamp set.  There's a layer that you see for the spots on the wing.  I used it on the wing and also for the belly of the bird.  Here in Texas, we have varieties of woodpeckers that have lots of white streaks on their underside.  I stamped the speckles in Versamark, added white embossing powder, and heat set it.

I decided on my arrangement and then stamped the stems for the flowers.  I added foam tape to the flowers on the left and the woodpecker and adhered the other elements with glue.

I always love sparkle and shine, so I added some clear Wink of Stella to the purple flower centers and the berries.  The berries also got some Glossy Accents for more shine and dimension!

I shared two other cards on Instagram last month.  I'm sorry I just didn't have time to write up a blog post, but if you missed them, here you go!

See, I told you their bird sets are amazing!!  This card features the stand-alone die set called Feathered Friends 9.  His background features the Enchanting Roses set and, again, the Love to Layer: Torn Edges die set.

This next card might be my favorite!

I used the absolutely gorgeous Flying By stamps and coordinating dies.  This beautiful butterfly is frames out with the Border Bling: Dainty Deliveries Frame die.  I know this will not be the last time I used this one!

I was so very honored to have been Papertrey's guest designer in March--thank you Papertrey!!!  Thank you so much for stopping by!  I hope you've enjoyed my cards and will stop over at Papertrey Ink to see their amazing April release!   Have a wonderful weekend!

Flying By to Say Happy Birthday | Papertrey Ink/Ink To Paper New Release

Happy new week my friends!  I was thrilled to be invited to create with some of the new products from Papertrey Ink/Ink To Paper's March 2021 release!  Thank you Papertrey!

Today I'm sharing a card I made with the gorgeous Flying By set!  I had lots of fun choosing various inks from my stash to create this beautiful and colorful butterfly!

I first stamped the butterfly in some black ink and then used the layering stamps to add the various colors to the butterfly's wings and body.  I used the coordinating die to cut it out and added foam tape to the back.

Next I stamped the Flying By sentiment from the set in black ink and used the coordinating die to cut it out.  I love how there are several other sentiments for different occasions in this set!  I used the happy birthday sentiment and trimmed it into a rectangle shape.

Next I used the oh so beautiful Dainty Deliveries Frame die and die cut a white frame with it.  Note: I added a sheet of Stick-It to the back of my card stock before I die cut it.  This makes it so much easier to adhere the detailed piece!  I adhered it to a top-folding A2 card base.  Next I adhered the sentiments and the butterfly.

This was such a fun and easy card to make!  This release has lots of beautiful new sets in it and you can check it out in the Ink To Paper shop.  Thank you so much for stopping by!  I hope you have a wonderful and crafty week!
