Adorable Holiday Card with Die Cuts

Hello crafty friends! Well, I certainly loved Honey Bee Stamps' Lovely Layers: Beach Bound set for the summer, and now, with the new Lovely Layers: Beach Bound Holiday Add-On, this set is at the top of my favorites!!!

The card base is an A2 white cardstock, with a layer of patterned paper from the North Pole paper pad. (The papers in this paper pad are gorgeous!) Then I used my scissors to trim glitter paper from my stash for a snowy hill. I adhered the hill to the card with foam tape.

I die cut the adorable pieces from the Lovely Layers: Beach Bound and Holiday Add-On from various cardstocks. The red part of the bus is white cardstock colored with two Copic markers (R59 and R27). The striped part of the bus is also from the North Pole paper pad. I also used black cardstock, red glitter cardstock, and some silver metallic cardstock.

If you feel like you may be overwhelmed by the layers, let me assure you, that the provided Layering Guides are your best friend!

I used glue to assembled this adorable bus (with blue eyes like mine :) and added foam tape to the back to adhere it to the card.

I added a tree in the background with dies from the Postcard Holiday Add-On dies. I really like how the set makes adorable postcards, but also that the pieces can be used individually on any card!

I stamped a sentiment from the Sprinkled With Joy stamp set in black ink. I cut it out with the coordinating Honey Cut die. I love popping up sentiments with the foam tape strips!!

I just think this Beach Bound Add-On is so adorable!! How cute are those eyelashes? Thank you so much for stopping by today! Have a wonderful day!

Beautiful Butterfly Birthday Card

Happy Saturday!  Today I'm sharing some details about my card that features Altenew's beautiful Craft Your Life Project Kit: Wings & Petals.  I love monarch butterflies!  Each October they migrate through our area here in Texas and I always think of my mother.  We would always tell each other when we saw the first monarchs passing through.  I miss her, but I know she would love this card!

The Craft Your Life Project Kit is one of several of Altenew's monthly subscriptions.  The reason this particular one is my favorite is because it includes a few of my most favorite products!  I love 3D embossing folders and having the layering stencils to color the embossed image is awesome!  You can purchase this Kit separately, but if you subscribe, you will save $16.  Check out this subscription and the other options on the Altenew website.

First I die cut the Wings & Petals butterfly dies from Sunkissed and Jet Black cardstock.  I used blending brushes to add shading with Autumn Blaze and Orange Cream inks (Warm & Cozy collection) to the solid die cut.  After gluing the black top layer to each piece, I glued them together.

I embossed white cardstock with the Wings & Petals Botanical 3D embossing folder and trimmed it to 4" x 4-¼".  Then I stamped the sentiment from the Wings & Petals stamp set at the bottom of an A2 card base with Obsidian black ink.

I added a strip of Jet Black cardstock to separate the embossed cardstock from the sentiment.  The Intertwining Leaves layers are die cut from Grass Field and Hunter Green cardstock.

I used foam tape to adhere the butterflies to the card.

I absolutely love the details of the Wings & Petals butterfly dies!!  Thank you so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful and crafty weekend!

Altenew Stampwheel 2.0 Blog Hop & Giveaway ($300 in total prizes!)

I'm so thrilled to be part of the blog hop to feature the brand new and totally awesome Stampwheel 2.0!

Thank you for joining us on this fabulous hop!  If you would like to start at the beginning, please head over to the Altenew blog.  You can check out all of the details of the larger, new Stampwheel 2.0 here.

Be sure to check out the prize details below!  You won't want to miss out on your chance to win either a $100 gift certificate or one of four $50 gift certificates!

For the first time using the Stampwheel 2.0, I used the beautiful, and large, stamp set from the Build-A-Garden: Magnificent Branch collection.  Check out the photos of the Stampwheel 2.0 in use and compared to the original Stampwheel (which I do still use!).

This card is a slimline card I made with the awesome Build-A-Garden: Magnificent Branch in black.  I used the coordinating stencils and blending brushes to color the image.  Because of the size of the Stampwheel 2.0, I was able to keep the stamped image on the sticky mat, remove the side piece, and color through the stencils with ease!

As you can see in this photo, there is a significant difference in the sizes of the original Stampwheel and the new Stampwheel 2.0!

When you remove the detachable side, you can stamp on a full 8-½" x 11" piece of cardstock.

I really enjoy being able to keep the sticky mat in place and use the coloring stencils by removing the side.

I have used the Stampwheel 2.0 many times recently, and I highly recommend it as part of your crafting tools necessities!

Be sure to leave a comment here on my blog, and at all of the other stops, to increase your chance to win a prize!

Sending Christmas Joy Floral Holiday Card

Hello crafty friends! Can you believe we are half way through November?! That makes me super happy to be creating cards with products from Honey Bee Stamps' Cozy Christmas release! My card today features some new products along with a few pieces from previous releases. Today I've used:

I stamped the floral images from the Sending Christmas Joy stamp set onto 80# Neenah with Intense Black Ink. Then I used Copic markers to color them. I used: R59, R29, R27, R35, G29, YG67, G94, YG63, G43. Then I cut them out with the coordinating Honey Cuts.

Next I stamped the postage stamp outline from the Sending Christmas Joy onto a dark green cardstock with black pigment ink and cut it out with the coordinating die. I adhered this to some green checked paper from the Gingerbread Village paper pad. Then I adhered those layers to an A2 card base.

I stamped the "20¢" in red ink and cut it out with the coordinating die.

Next I die cut the pine branches and holly/berries (Postcard Holiday Add-On) from dark green cardstock. I added thin lines of glue to the pine branches and then sprinkled on iridescent chunky glitter and set the pieces aside to dry.

I die cut the stamp (Time To Go Postcard) once green cardstock and again from white cardstock to use only the center portion. I taped the green and white die cuts of the stamp together on the back and placed it into my MISTI. Then I used dark green ink to stamp the postmark (Postmarked stamp set) onto the stamp. I glued the "20¢" to the stamp and stamped the postmark again, without re-inking the stamp.

Then I arranged all of the elements and used glue and foam dots to adhere them to the card. The sentiment from the Sending Christmas Joy stamp set was stamped in black ink and cut out with the coordinating die.

I hope I've given you another idea for these beautiful sets to use for your holiday card. Thank you so very much for stopping by!

Stitched Birthday Card With Spellbinders Club Kits

Happy Monday!  Today I'm sharing my stitched birthday card that features three of Spellbinders' November Club Kits.  The Cross Stitch Nested Card Front & Tag Stitching Die of the month was an easy stitching session with lots of beautiful layers to choose from!

I used some beautiful variegated DMC cotton pearle thread to stitch the edges of the layers of the Stitching Dies that were die cut from Waterfall cardstock.  I used white cardstock for the tag.

I really like how there are separate dies to use to die cut layers with stitched edges!  The top most layer was embossed with the Cascading Streamers Embossing Folder of the month.  I used glue to adhere all the layers except the top layer which is adhered with foam tape.

I die cut the Party Time Cake dies from white cardstock and colored the pieces with my Copic markers.  Please note: This die is a Monthly Bonus Item included with the Deluxe Caboodle Kit.

I die cut the sentiment that is part of the Party Time Cake dies from white cardstock.  The top layer of the sentiments are colored with a coordinating ink.

If you would like to see more details about these Club Kits, please click the links below.  Honestly, I have loved each month's release!  Thank you so much for stopping by!

Quick and Easy Stenciled Thank You Card

Hello crafty friends!  I love making quick and easy thank you cards in bright and cheerful colors!  I'm sharing all of the complete details of this card over on the Brass & Bliss blog today.

The stenciled layer uses the pretty Fall Flourish stencil set.  It includes three layering stencils that you use to create your background.

I love how in spite of the name "Fall Flourish" this set can absolutely be used for any season!  I only had to use four ink colors!  I used these colors from the Color Fuse ink line:  Dreamer, Grass, Juniper, and Pecan.

Next I've used the new Thank You Die set.  I inked up white cardstock with the teal ink and die cut the top layer of the Thank You die set.  I cut it twice more from white cardstock and glued the layers together.  I love dies that have a shadow layer as it helps the sentiment stand out from a more busy background!

This was really that easy!  If you would like to see lots of step-by-step photos and directions, join me over on the Brass & Bliss blog.  Thank you so much for stopping by!

Cheers, It's Your Special Day

Happy Friday crafty friends!  Today I'm sharing this card I made that features Picket Fence Studios Cheers My Friend die set!  I love ink blending and this card has plenty of that!

The background ink blended panel was created with three Distress Oxide inks.  I used blending brushes for adding Kitsch Flamingo, Tumbled Glass, and Evergreen Bough.  I glued the layer to an A2 card base.

Next, from white cardstock, I die cut the A2 Simple Plaid Cover Plate, the "cheer" die from the Cheers My Friend die set (x4), and a few leaves from the Layering Flora: Sweet Cherry Blossom die set.

Then I used a Paper Pouncer to add Kitsch Flamingo Oxide ink to one layer of "cheer".  I glued all of the layers together and set them aside.

I stamped a sentiment from the Fancy Congratulations Sentiments and cut it out with the coordinating die.

For easy alignment of Cheers, I used the negative piece to position and glue each letter to the card.  The leaves and sentiment are adhered with glue.

Then I added a few sparkles from the Starry Skies gems.

Super easy, right?!  Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I hope you have a fabulous and crafty weekend!

Altenew November 2024 Release Blog Hop + Huge Giveaways

Hello friends!  I'm thrilled to be part of the blog hop to celebrate Altenew's fabulous November 2024 Release!

The link for the blog hop stops is below.  If you would like to start at the beginning, please head over to the Altenew blog.

Be sure to check out the information below for the awesome prizes!!

My card today features several new products from  the November Release!  Check it out!

I die cut the Coreopsis Layering Dies from several different colors of Crafty Necessities Cardstock.  The colors I used are in the list below.  Before I glued the flower layers, I used some of the yellow alcohol markers from the new Cottage Card Set of Artist Markers to color the yellow cardstock of the flower centers.

Assembling the flowers is so very easy with the Key Hole System.  The idea of this is genius!!  The packaging also includes a diagramed layering guide.

After glueing the flower layers together, I embossed white cardstock with the new Petal Palooza 3D embossing folder.  I glued the panel to an A2 card base.

After deciding on an arrangement for the flowers and stems, I used glue and a few pieces of foam tape to adhere it to the card.  Then I trimmed the pieces that were hanging off the edge of the card.

The sentiment is one from the Essential Sentiments Hot Foil Plate.  After foiling the gold foil, I cut them out with the coordinating Essential Sentiments die.

I love the options of how many different ways and colors to use this Coreopsis Layering Die Set.  Thanks for stopping by and be sure to click the link below to see more beautiful inspiration.

Let's Make A Christmas Card with Layering Florals and A 3D Embossing Folder!

Hello crafty friends! Oooh, I had so much fun making this card I'm sharing today! There are so many beautiful elements in Honey Bee Stamps gorgelous Lovely Layers: Mini Holiday Florals! I went with a less traditional color palette for the florals and I love how this turned out!

First I chose several colors of cardstock from my stash. Then I looked at the Lovely Layers: Mini Holiday FloralsLayering Guide (found in the product description in the shop) to start planning what color of cardstock I wanted to use for each of the florals.

Before I continue, let me tell you about my tip for sorting out all of the dies! (I will share a photo below to give you a visual of these tips.) This will make it so easy for you to use this set. First I assigned a number to each of the different florals in the Mini Holiday Florals and wrote it on the Layering Guide. Then I went about gathering and sorting the dies according to the number. Once I had the dies sorted out, I added the corresponding number to the card the dies come on. Then I used a fine point Sharpie to add the number to the back of each die for that flower. See what I mean in this photo:

After I die cut the Mini Holiday Florals, I used glue to assemble the flowers.

Next I die cut three snowflakes that are in the Lovely Layers: Large Snowflakes Honey Cuts from #110 white cardstock. I used a palette tool to add Snowfall Distress Grit Paste to the snowflakes and sprinkled on Clear Rock Candy Distress Glitter. I set them aside to dry.

I added an embossed panel made with the gorgeous Snowflakes 3D embossing folder to an A2 card base. I did a bit of planning of the arrangement of the Mini Holiday Florals. Then I tucked the two larger snowflakes under the left bottom and upper right corners. I used foam dots and glue to adhere the floral elements. I glued the small snowflake onto the arrangement.

The sentiment is from the new Great Greetings: Holiday set and adhered with glue and foam tape.

I decided I wanted a bit more subtle sparkle so I used a paint brush to add more Snowfall Distress Grit Paste to the leaves and flower petals. FYI, the paste easily washed out of my paint brush.

I hope you have enjoyed my card making process and found the tips for sorting the dies helpful. Thank you so much for stopping by!

Snow Globe Christmas Card

Happy Saturday!  Today there is an awesome Instagram hop to celebrate Honey Bee Stamps new Cozy Christmas release.  There will be two $50 gift cards awarded to two commenters in the hop!

I wanted to share photos and a few bits of info with you about the card I made.

I used the beautiful Believe In The Magic stamp set and coordinating dies for my card.  It is stamped with marker safe black ink and colored with my Copic markers.  I used the W warm gray markers to imitate a metallic base.

There are several different sentiments that fit where I stamped "joy" along with more sub sentiments in the Believe In The Magic set!  I cut the stamped images out with the coordinating dies.

The background layer is one I embossed using the highly detailed new Rustic Brick Wall 3D embossing folder.  I love the detail in the embossing!!

To bling up the snow globe, I added Star Dust Stickles to the stamped snow in the sky and the snow on the ground.  Then I added   I added a bunch of pearls from the Gingerbread Pearl Stickers.  There wasn't quite enough small ones in that pack and I found more of the same color in the Warm Pearls Pearl Stickers.

Be sure to check out the other awesome goodies in the Cozy Christmas release!  There is something for everyone in this release!
