You Are The Best! -- Stenciling A Background For Masculine Cards

Hello crafty friends!  I'm here today to share my card featuring Honey Bee Stamps fabulous Refined Details stencil set from their Foundry & Field release!  If you struggle making masculine cards, this release is filled with many sets to make a perfect card for any guy.

The A2 card base layer is made with the amazing Refined Details Stencil Set that includes six stencils!  These stencils each provide fabulous details for the images, so much so that I hated to cover any part of the finished panel!

I used ink blending brushes with green, blue, and beige inks from my stash.  I also used some Distress Inks in the colors of Peeled Paint, Gathered Twigs, Vintage Photo, Walnut Stain, and Black Soot.

The duck element was made with the NEW Lovely Layers: Gallery Wall - Gentlemen Add-On die set.  The frame is from the NEW Lovely Layers: Gallery Wall Baroque Frames die set.

I cut white cardstock with the dies from both sets.  Then I used blending brushes and some of the same colors of ink used on the stenciled background to color the pieces.  I die cut three more frames to layer together with glue for more dimension.

The sentiments are from two sets.  The first one is from the NEW Great Man stamp set and coordinating Great Man dies.  "You are THE BEST" is from the FREE BEE stamp/die set you will automatically receive with a qualifying purchase, while supplies last.

Be sure to head over to Honey Bee's shop to check out all of the sets in the Foundry & Field release!  You will find lots of awesome things to make those masculine cards for your stash!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope it's a great day!

  1. A great masculine card! I love the stenciled background, very unique in a world of "cutesy" stencils, the details are fun. Two great sentiments too, Carol
