Scrappy Tails & Pear Blossom Press Collab Blog Hop

Hello crafty friends!  Welcome to the Scrappy Tails and Pear Blossom Press Collab Hop!

Today we are sharing lots of whimsical cards that will really brighten your day.   They feature dreamy new stamps and dies from Scrappy Tails, and with a little help from Pear Blossom Press, they all light up!  Be sure to hop along with us for lots of inspiration.  You will be amazed at all of the stunning cards each designer has created!  I have two cards to share so keep reading for the details, and the hop list plus prize info!

My first card features Scrappy Tail's absolutely gorgeous Fairy Girl stamp.

For the background I began with a piece of blue card stock.  I used a blending brush and inked these Distress Oxides around the edges: Blueprint Sketch and Black Soot.  Then I used the Starry Night stencil and added some Golden Era Nuvo Glacier Paste.  I set it aside to dry.

I stamped the Fairy Girl onto white card stock with Copic safe ink and colored her (except the wings) with my Copics.  I fussy cut the image trimming off the wings.  Next I stamped her again with Versamark onto 40# vellum.  I added some gold sparkle embossing powder and heat set it.  Then I just fussy cut the wings and adhered them to the Fairy Girl.

I stamped the sentiment included in the Fairy Girl set with Versamark and heat set it.  I added it to gold sparkle card stock and added foam tape to the back.  With my elements ready, and the stenciled background dry, I planned where to place the holes for my EZ-Lights.  I used a craft pick to make the holes.  Then I adhered the EZ-Light set with double-sided tape.  I placed the lights over the holes and held them in place with tape.  Then I added Double Thick Foam Tape to the back.  See this photo for explanation:

Next I adhered the panel to a top-folding A2 card base.  I added a vellum star I die cut from the Fairy Silhouettes die set to the star on the front.  Time to test out the gorgeous lights!

My next card uses the  Scrappy Tails Fairy Silhouettes dies and the A2 Forest Tree Cover Plate die.

This time I used the Pear Blossom Press Halo Lights. Again, I inked the blue card stock with Distress Oxides.  Then I die cut a circle that was just slightly smaller than the Halo Lights.  I used the same circle die and cut some white card stock, inked it with Dried Marigold, Wild Honey and Scattered Straw Distress Oxides.

Next I die cut the A2 Forest Tree Cover die from some brown card stock and adhered it to the blue panel.  I die cut the fairies from 40# vellum and sprayed it with Iridescent Glitter Dust.  I wish cameras captured all the sparkle!!  I set this aside to dry and got my Halo Lights ready to adhere.  I added the lights and foam tape to a top-folding A2 card base.

I

I adhered the card front the card base.  Then I stamped the sentiment from the Fairy Sentiments in Versamark onto 40# vellum.  I sprinkled on Wow Vanilla Sparkle embossing powder and heat set it.  I trimmed around the sentiment and adhered it with a few rolled up glue dots placed behind the embossing.

Making these light-up cards with the Pear Blossom Press EZ-Lights is so fun and I totally love how Scrappy Tails sets work beautifully with the lights!

Next up on the hop is the super talented Jackie Pasko!
