Happy Birthday Card for my Friend

I had to wait to post this card that I made a couple weeks ago for a very good friend's birthday.  I gave it to her yesterday and she loved it!  I really enjoy making cards with flowers!

I used Heartfelt Creations Bold Delicate Asters and Arianna Blooms stamps and dies.  The sentiment, from JustRite's Royal Antique Labels One, is stamped onto their Vintage Label Six die and layered with another die from that set.  I love the plaid papers in My Favorite Things 6x6 plaid patterns pack and was glad to use some of it!

I used various inks (guess I should've written them down right away since I don't remember which ones) for the flowers and leaves and topped them with a sprinkling of some sparkly glitter.  Also added a few Droplets from Pretty Pink Posh.

I used a clear box to put the card into and wrapped some white paper around it.  I used my Cricut Explore to draw this design on vellum and colored it with my Spectrum Noir markers and Sparkle pens.  I do love me some sparkle and shine!!

Close up shows the lovely shimmer!
All boxed up and tied with a bow.
Thank you so much for taking a look & say hi! if you're stopping by--love hearing from you!

Thanks So Very Much!

So, another card class online.  This time it's Altenew Academy's Seasonal Scene Building with the fabulous Nichol Magouirk as our teacher.

I'm only on Lesson One as I had a lot going on this past week.  I have the same stamp set she used--Altenew's Garden Grow.  I love this set as it is all outdoorsy with plants and such.  The sentiment is from Hero Arts called For Your Kindness.  The only other thing I used is the teeny, tiny musical notes stamp from WPlus9's Happy Mail set.

This style is outside my comfort zone as I am still on the learning curve with my Spectrum Noir markers AND I rarely make a one-layer card!   Yes, the card that is partially covered was my first one and I totally messed up the sentiment.  Had to make a little banner to cover it up, which is not what I would have done if I had planned better.  Oh well, that's what classes are for!  Overall, I think these are OK. :)

Thanks for taking a look!!  Have a great week!

Praying for You, Hydrangea Cards

I really LOVE this stamp from Essentials by Ellen Mondo Hydrangea!  It is so fun to stamp and color in different ways.  I think I've made three cards recently using this stamp.
Here are my two recent cards.  I used a We R Memory Keepers Next Level embossing folder on the vellum and Distress Ink to watercolor the flower and leaves.  I made this card for a 26-year old that found out she has cancer.   I hope it brings a smile to her face.

(I'll be entering this on the Essentials by Ellen May Pin-Sights Challenge.)

Thanks for looking and if you are the praying type, say a prayer for her.

Happy Birthday, Hydrangea Card

The next card I made using Essentials by Ellen Mondo Hydrangea is a birthday card for a sweet friend.

Distress Inks are so easy to watercolor with.  Here's a closeup showing the pretty and sparkly Wink of Stella.

Thank you so much for looking!

Cricut Explore Cards

Here are a couple of cards I made for a Facebook card group called Cards--Cricut Style.  We needed to submit at least one card and then on the event date we were able to share and save lots of files of cards made by other people.

I really enjoyed making this cute Happy Birthday card with a pink bicycle!  I used Wink of Stella for lots of shimmer and Glossy Accents on the bike's tires.

The next card I made is a thank you card.  Purple, yellow and green is one of my favorite color combinations.  It's so nice that the Explore can draw in the lines.

Here's a close up of the card.

If anyone wants the Design Space files for these, let me know.  Totally shareable as all images are part of the subscription.

Thanks for looking!!  :)

Online Card Classes, Clear & Sheer, Celebrate

Another card for the fabulous Clear & Sheer class.  I've had this beautiful gold-striped vellum from My Mind's Eye for quite a long time.  I bought it because I loved it!  So glad to finally have a way to use it.

I used Altenew's Beautiful Day stamps for the flower and leaves and Bazzill heavy weight vellum.  I stamped one of the inside layers of the flower with a Tsukineko ink called Brilliance in Galaxy Gold.  Then I stamped the outline of the flower in Versafine Onyx Black and sprinkled it all with clear embossing powder from Simon Say Stamp.  Did the same with the leaves.  Heat embossed and hand cut them out.  The sentiment from Celebra'tions is stamped with VersaMark and heat embossed Ranger superfine detail in Gold.

I cut the gold striped vellum and a piece of acetate using a banner die from JustRite.  My machine just doesn't have the right layers, I guess, to emboss the acetate.  It just barely shows up in real life.  I attached those to the black card stock layer with my Tiny Attacher.  I colored the staples with a gold pen (sure can't have silver staples on this card!)

Finished up with some gold sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.  Thanks so much for taking a look!
